These are my 5 beginner decks that I use to teach mtg to new players. They're balanced against each other and are made to show off what each color does special. At 30 cards each and 2 copies per card, it fits nicely unsleeved in a 100 card deckbox.

Play as a god blessing your heroes with divine boons!

Gameplan: Use enchantments to make an extremely threatening creature that your opponent won't be able to compete with. Use Heliod's Pilgrim to find your strongest enchantments (probably Ethereal Armor. Use Gods Willing to protect your creatures from enemy spells or make your creatures unblockable for a finishing blow.

Mechanics: Enchant creature, Protection, First strike, Double strike

Difficulty: Easy

Control a swarm of faeries to play tricks on your opponent!

Gameplan: Disrupt your opponent's turns with instant speed counterspells like Didn't Say Please and Spellstutter Sprite while you hit them with hard to block faeries.

Mechanics: Counter target spell, Scry, Flash, Flying, Flicker, Tokens

Difficulty: Hard

Use necromancy to bring death everywhere you go!

Gameplan: Use removal spells like Terror and Arms of Hadar to control the board while you slowly chip away at your opponents with small creatures. Oversold Cemetery lets you outlast your opponents when they run out of cards.

Mechanics: Destroy target creature, -x/-x, Sacrifice, Deathtouch

Difficulty: Hard

Lead your goblin army as the goblin monarch!

Gameplan: Make a lot of goblins quick. Kill the opponent before they can develop their board. All you have to do is get the opponent down to 5 or 10 health, then you can finish them off with Goblin Grenades. Siege-Gang Commander gives you some survivability in the late game.

Mechanics: Deal damage to target, Haste, First strike, Tokens

Difficulty: Easy

Lead a herd of giant dinosaurs to overwhelm your opponent!

Gameplan: Ramp your mana with Llanowar Elves and Wild Growth, so that you can get to your high mana cost creatures quicker. Use Tail Swipe and you look upon the tarrassque to deal with your opponent's threats while your dinosaurs attack for huge damage.

Mechanics: Creatures fight each other, Trample, Reach, Cascade

Difficulty: Easy
