Eidolon of Rhetoric limits players who can ramp through the tax effects and Ensnaring Bridge locks down fatties while letting your weenies go to work. Yosei, the Morning Star is also a solid lockdown guy.

Thanks for the ideas and the upvote! Yosei looks pretty cool, something I hadn't thought about. I considered the other two, didn't make the cut.

If you want to tangle them up a bit, Storm Cauldron and Equipoise make for some good fun. There's also Lightmine Field , Cursed Totem , Worship , Silent Arbiter , and True Believer

Also, if you're running a tax deck, make sure to use Land Tax - it's good and its name fits the theme.
+1 from me.

Oh, if you run Mana Web , make sure you get an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth , and maybe a Karma while you're at it.
Smokestack may be good.

I could have sworn I had Land Tax in here. I'm not a huge fan of Mana Web since you can tap your land in response to the ability and have it for the rest of the phase. Mana burn isn't even a thing anymore, so it's almost completely useless. I'll definitely consider Smokestack . Thanks for the +1!

Have you ever considered reworking this into a white/green deck, with Gaddock Teeg as the general? I think he would drive your opponents bonkers in this style of deck, and adding green might open you up to some other fun ways to harass your opponents.

Do you have any ideas of green cards that would be good in that kind of deck? I've already started buying cards for this deck, so I think I'm going to keep it mono-white, but I can work on a different deck that shares some cards with this one.

Seems like Mass Calcify would be pretty good for this kind of deck.
Condemn is a good removal in EDH since it can tuck a commander away for good
Return to Dust gives excellent artifacts and enchantment hate

Ethersworn Canonist doesn't seem right. You dont seem to have enough artifacts..

It probably wouldn't be good against an artifact-heavy deck but against most others it's great. I usually don't play more than one spell a turn anyway; I have little mana in the beginning of the game, and a small hand at the end of the game. Canonist also works really well with AEther Vial and is a staple in most Death and Taxes decks, which this is aiming to be.

ooo good point. 2.41 is a low curve for edh though. But yeah Aether Vial seems sick!
Vedalken Orrery would be fun!

Some suggestions I have are: Mana Web to tie up their mana even more, Tangle Wire , and maybe you won't like it, but I personally like Entreat the Angels as a finisher because of the miracle cost.
