That's not true. Only dying or being exiled result in the Commander moving to the Command Zone. If a Commander is shuffled into the deck it stays there for the game unless its drawn or tutored out.

When did that become the case? 0,olol I have the little booklet from the 2012 cycle of official Commander decks, and that booklet says if the Commander would go ANYWHERE from the battlefield, they may instead go to the Command Zone :0I'm not trying to say you're wrong; I'm just asking for more help. As it is, I barely found out a week ago that the Legendary Rule changed back in M14 ._.

From official rules 903.11-12:
If a Commander would be put into a graveyard or exile from anywhere, its owner may choose to move it to the command zone instead.

How about Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant ? It's low CC enough for your curve and flips right into an Enchantment in most cases, passing on significant survivability to your weenies.

And if you want friends, never play Winter Orb The other Stax pieces are fine, but Orb makes games not fun and people will HATE you.

Yeah see this is my first EDH deck that I'm still in the process of getting all the cards for. I'm totally a Spike, and I don't know the rules of "fun" that EDH players impose on the game. What I could do before starting a game is warn people that I have Orb in there and have a backup card to bring in if they don't want to play against it. But mainly I want to win and if Orb is gonna help me do that then I'm keeping it in here. Plus Orb + Rishadan Port is fun times.

I've seen people talk about competitive EDH, and I've seen competitive EDH decks in action, but it can get really dirty really fast. We're talking turn 5-6 wins in multiplayer games, abusing mill or combo strategies.
Most people play EDH to mess around with friends for 5 hours. They are fun decks to build, and relatively easy to find good cards for. A solid EDH deck could be built for 150-200 dollars.
Sol Ring and Sensei's Divining Top are staples in every EDH deck. For more card draw, maybe Infiltration Lens ?
Devout Lightcaster is a great hate card.

Mentor of the Meek is in my maybeboard already. Trying to figure out what card to take out for it...
pacman3 in your opinion, is this deck too "competitive" for EDH? Yes, it has some expensive and annoying cards but it relies on good synergy rather than broken or infinite combos. Thanks for the suggestions as well.

No this deck isn't too broken. I'd just worry about running out of spells by turn 6-7 and top decking. EDH is a slow format. Pretty normal to see just land and mana rock plays for the first 3-4 turns. Even in multiplayer

Do you recommend higher CMC cards or card draw like Mentor of the Meek and Inheritance ?

Mentor of the Meek is amazing. Especially in white weenie. The card draw is so valuable, he can keep you going in the long run. Also, since this is EDH, I would try to put in some anthem effects, just because hitting for 1-2-3 isn't as strong as it is in a 60. Caged Sun works well and is also a mana-doubler. Glorious Anthem , Crusade , Honor of the Pure , and Path of Bravery can all make you weenies into big weenies.

I agree with everything supercaptainpow said. True Conviction is amazing in EDH. Sun Titan would be solid too.

Great suggestions guys! Now I just have to figure out what to take out...

I like it. Looks like it'd be a fun deck to run. I was gonna suggest Defense Grid also.

Looks like an @$$#0!3 way to lose all your friends. +1! Love it! Why not Iona, Shield of Emeria to piss off all those people who hate her, like irindumaster?

I don't even know you and I already hate you based off this deck.

Exalted Angel is probably your weakest creature. I'd suggest replacing it with Precinct Captain .

Condemn isn't a permanent solution; if ANY effect would cause the Commander to leave the battlefield, the player may choose to instead put the Commander back ithe Command Zone.
