Playstyle: Value, Graveyard

Commander abilities:

You get experience counter when your own creatures dies. At beginning of your endstep, you can return one target creature from graveyard to hand but if you have equal or less experience counters than it's converted mana cost it goes to battlefield instead.

Strategy/Goal:

  • This deck benefits when things die, so this is deck around that theme, including commander you get value from those die triggers various ways.

  • This can get semi-control if you force opponents sacrifice things as well you build your own value.

  • You want a lot of cretures and tokens on the board, then ping damage outlets, eventually if someone boardwipes, you win from all that value. There is also sacrifice outlets so you can finish game off.

  • Board build up is pretty quick (even after boardwipes) since you get things from graveyard back to hand or battlefield.

  • This deck has selfmill mechanics and you want to do that, eventually you can cheat big creatures from the graveyard on the board with Meren ability.

Endgame:

  • Few wincons: Genesis wave or Finale of Eternity, depends how big x you get, for finale you want big graveyard and x = 10.

  • As explained before, your board should get so much ping damage to each opponents so they even can't boardwipe. (blood artist, zura, etc. these add up via cretures on the board)
