@TheGamer:Thanks! :D
This happens to be a hate-bears strategy, which yes, would normally run RA, but it's a bit too expensive. Again, this is hate-bears, not aggro, so creatures like the ones you listed don't seem to fit the strategy. Also, I like Thorn of Amethyst , since it's a cheaper version of Thalia. Suppression Field is to take the place of linvala, and Mark of Asylum is in the mainboard because of jund. Thanks, none the less! :D
@GRUULFTW: Too expensive...

You get my applause for playing Suppression Field , for all my fond memories of using it to crush Ghazi-Glare players in a Standard long past.

I think you should main 1 or 2 Rest in Peace just because it screws over so many decks. Goyf becomes a 0/1, living end gets no creatures, Snapcaster cant cast anything, etc.

Temple Garden not in there because it's budget? What about Sunpetal Grove ? it's a bit cheaper, maybe better than 4x pain lands.

I feel the rip is good in the SB, but it probably would work in the MB... I'll try it out! :D Thx!
The painlands are cheaper.

Oh, also what do you think of Dryad Militant ? It shuts down snappy at least.

I highly approve of your budget rendition of hate-bears; however, I agree with TheGamer; Mark of Asylum , Thorn of Amethyst , and Suppression Field are not great mainboard choices. I also recognize the need to replace their more expensive counterparts, but the main thing I consider in all of my decks is: under any possible circumstance, what will a card's value be.
Against a mostly creature deck Thorn of Amethyst will do almost nothing, yet you have three, against a partially creature deck, you are slowing them down, but you still lose card advantage as the artifact can do nothing on it's own (unlike Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , which slows them down and follows it up with a 2/1 first striking body)
The same applies to Suppression Field . Though I approve of wrecking fetch lands, against a deck that does not run fetch lands, it will slow down your opponents, but it will be unable to follow up your advantage.
Finally, Mark of Asylum proves to be a fantastic card against any deck running red (Lightning Bolt anyone?), but what happens if you draw two of them, what about if they only deal damage in combat and instead use direct kill spells (Doom Blade anyone?). My main issue with this card though is running 3 mainboard, I feel as though that makes it too easy to draw multiple of them.
That's just my general take on this, and I can't pretend to know what better cheap options there are, but I'd recommend reconsidering the number of those cards on mainboard. Now to following up with a bit of shameless advertising, I have my own rendition of the best $50 you'll ever spend, take a look: Assassinatification

Idk if it really has a place in this deck, but: Saffi Eriksdotter could give your bears a lot of tenacity.

@Enganeer: Hmmm, I guess I can switch out the thorns for Thalia, Guardian of Thraben . Suppression Field happens to be SUPER useful. It shuts down TONS of stuff. Seems to be working out effectively... Yea, I'll cut Mark of Asylum down to 2 and bring 1 to the side. Thx! :D

Just out of curiosity, do you think Ajani, Mentor of Heroes would slot in with this deck? Or does it not work with Suppression Field ?
July 25, 2014 7:44 a.m.
I realise that you're trying to keep it budget I'm just asking as I have a set haha.

I think Hushwing Gryff could find a place in this deck.
July 25, 2014 8:49 a.m.
All the recommendations above have been considered. All are to expensive.
No, ajani would be bad because of SF.
July 25, 2014 4:05 p.m.
true believer and oblivion ring are bad. maybe try Oust for removal?
July 26, 2014 4:14 a.m.

Demystify is amazing for cheap enchantment removal.Dryad Militant is killer against graveyard decks.
I'm not sure, but I think Hushwing Gryff is cheaper than Torpor Orb , in which case, deserves the sideboard slot.

Hushwing Gryff +Lightning Bolt =Bad
Torper Orb+Lightning Bolt =Better
Switching out True Believer for the militant and Oblivion Ring for Journey to Nowhere .

Once again, I understand your keeping to a budget, what do you think of Restoration Angel with the deck?
TheGamer says... #1
Restoration Angel ? Although, that is a bit high...
If your looking for cheap creatures with big bodies, Loam Lion is really powerful and 13 cents. Sunblade Elf is also really good. Kitchen Finks is $5 im pretty sure, and that's not too bad. But that may be a lot when you think about it being $20 more. Wild Nacatl is basically a 2/2 for 1 in this deck, and maybe you could run one or two mountains so it has the Opportunity to be a 3/3.
Also, im not sure if I like Thorn of Amethyst , Suppression Field , and Mark of Asylum in the mainboard. It seems more like sideboard material.
Hope my advice helps good sir!
