Torpor Orb + Ancient Grudge = Bad
Hushwing Gryff + Ancient Grudge = Better
I'm not trying to mock you, my points is that you shouldn't automatically dismiss cards like that. There's a reason hushwing gryff is an instant.

Good point, but creature removal is much more common than artifact removal. So therefore overall torpor seems better, except against Spell Snare .

it would be helpful if you added a deck description, please.

@RDorothy: Ok, I will. It's just really boring, but for the sake of the people, I will do it right now. : )

Also, how competitive is this really? I have yet to start modern, but from what I can tell most decks are either really fast, have a combo, or slow the game way down. This is none of that, so does it still compete well with all the meta hate?
July 27, 2014 7:32 p.m.
Well, this isn't super competitive since it's budget, but it could be usable at an FNM for fun. I have yet to see. However, the deck type "Hatebears" is relatively popular.
You can see some statistics here.

If you ever decide to include Restoration Angel in this list, might i suggest adding a couple copies of Akroma, Angel of Fury ? Think about that for a sec. And if you still want to have that combo you can use Cloudshift .

Holy crap, I tested this against a lot of the modern decks going around my meta right now and it tore them to shreds. This thing is fast, efficient and barely -if at all- misses. +1 from me, great work.

@Dathatron: Wow! what a cool synergy! Unfortunately, Akroma would break my budget.
@LusciousCabbage: Thanks man! That really makes my day...
Does this mean I can consider this deck "Competitive"?

@crit_commander: You're right. That would be very viable. Unfortunately, I think It's outside of my current budget. Those tings are so OP, hence they're about $120 dollars a piece. : (

@Scorprix - I feel you there... had to replace all my Forest with Swamp because of the current market for Island . One day my friend... one of these days... things will be better.

Scorprix yeah it takes out anything that isn't too fast and completely shuts down search effects. I'd run this at FNM and give it as shot.

I like your deck :D.
How is the maindecked Suppression Field
working for you?
Have you considered adding more 1 drops like Judge's Familiar
?
I have a budget modern deck as well. :)
