Why not to use Doubling Chant ?

PS: I do really love your deck. Seriously, I want to marry it. :3

This deck is stoppable by Stormtide Leviathan , in case you can't defeat your opponent in eight turns. I think you should add Cobbled Wings , or maybe Canopy Claws to the sidedeck. I don't know which card would work better.Canopy Claws is an one mana cost instant which includes flashback that costs the same.On the other hand, Cobbled Wings is a cheap equipment that could stay in battlefield forever (flying bears, LOL).

What do you think?

This deck is pretty cool, the only problem i can find is that you need Overwhelming Stampede just to fend off against mass token decks where they can block your bear with weak creatures

i play a cavarn in my turbofog (no creatures) just so i could name hippogryph. though it might actually be worth it in here to play at least 2

some creature suggestions: Werebear, ulvenwald bear, striped bears, razorclaw bear.Definitely add druids familiar and ashcoat bear.maybe sideboard spectral bear and pale bear.also maybe Grizzly Fate

After playtesting a bit I'm sorry I suggested Golden Bear all that time ago. An extra 2 mana for a critter +2+1 bigger isn't worth it in a deck that routinely gives you 10/10s by turn 6 or 7. I think the extra 4-drop slows you down, with Door of Destinies already stopping you from casting a bear on turn 4. Not once did I draw a Muraganda Petroglyphs but I imagine it feels a bit underwhelming if you got out an Adaptive Automaton out and the door in your hand. I'd honestly rather have another 4x2cmc bears more. But the thing I wanted the most each game was to be able to play a 3cmc card on turn 5 along with a bear. Something like Turn 4 Forest, Door; Turn 5 Forest, Beast Within (to nuke whatever their game play is relying on), and a bear. Turn 6 Forest Bear, Bear, Bear Turn 7 Coat, bear, swing.

Further on removal I was thinking Prey Upon or even Ulvenwald Tracker might help round the deck out?

As for the whipe comments, I was thinking Fresh Meat could work well but why have that when you can have Caller of the Claw and Coat of Arms ? Waaaay better.

Golden Bear is not very good, I agree. Muraganda Petroglyphs is really useful though. Not underwhelming at all. A few cards that actually do something that may be alot better than all these 1G for a 2/2 bears: Ulvenwald Bear has an awesome trigger and can pump anything, card:Druid's Familiar is very good with 6 power for 4 mana so he's a definite, Spectral Bears for sideboard maybe, and maybe Striped Bears for cantripping fun.

Also, Ashcoat Bear is strictly better than all the 2/2 Grizzly Bears because it can be flashed in. Maybe when they're attacking.... could be useful.

I would get rid of Balduvian Bears for Ashcoat because he has the worst art.

August 9, 2012 10:03 p.m.

Well all of those suggested bears do not work with Muraganda Petroglyphs , so maybe we agree more than you think.

I would also repeat what everyone else has been saying, Ashcoat Bear is a great choice if you eliminate the petroglyph. If you have a Door of Destinies out you can wait until your opponent chooses blockers than BAM overwhelm them.

Okay well I didn't realize Muraganda Petroglyphs was chosen over all those guys...

WTF!!!! this is some pure BULL, half these dang cards should have been banned by now. This deck is broken and is going to represent at least 80% of legacy decklists from here on. THANK YOU FOR DESTROYING THE BEST MAGIC FORMAT YOU DOUCHE.

doinitwrong says... #25

It's okay, aloehart199. While all of these bears (except Balduvian Bears ) will probably be banned in legacy, they'll only be restricted in vintage, so you'll still be able to play them, or at least 1x of each, which should be plenty. I've got a hunch that these bears will be perfect in an explosive combo deck- move over, ANT, it's time for BAN! (BEAR-Ad Nauseam).
