Man I'm glad I haven't faced you at Fnm. I'm pretty sure this will give my esper deck a real tough time. I'm pretty sure I know the other green esper deck you faces at the Nov 14th Fnm, it's a pretty good one too. This Esper Dragons deck seems solid!

I see you took some of my advice. Love the deck! How has it been for you?

Unfortunately I have been unable to attend last weeks FNM, which sucked as I wanted to test out the new changes, and more than likely I may not be able to go this Friday as well but that's up in the air atm.
It kinda sucks since lately that's the only time I get to play Magic, I was thinking of building this deck online to test it out more often. I will definitely update the deck this friday/saturday if I go to FNM.

Whether or not Bant Black or Green Esper is cooler is not only debatable but it's up to me to pick :)
The deck is an Esper Dragon control shell splashing creen for a few tools, hence the name Green Esper :)
Regardless, I appreciate the comment Mgrabusky

Have you ever cast ugin? I don't think he fits here, I would get rid of him for a painful truths or an utter end.

Have I ever cast Ugin? Yes, plenty of times. Do I ever consider replacing it? Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. Normally when I cast him he just kind of wins me the game. I really only remove him when I am against faster aggro decks like Atarka Red, but other wise he is awesome against control and mid range. The whole point of an Esper Control deck is to stall the game, so getting to 8 mana happens very often, this isn't exactly a deck that wins fast hehe.
If I ever replaced him, Mgrabusky, it might probably be for Painful Truths, Utter End, or another Foul-Tongue Invocation.

I'm not sure Silumgar, the Drifting Death cuts it? Thoughts?
I'd prefer Dragonlord Silumgar, due to the prevalence of planeswalkers, the value, as well as Crackling Doom (doom makes OG Silumgar look sad).

Thanks for the comment kameenook!
As of last night, because of so many Aristocrat decks being played I have been honestly thinking about replacing one Silumgar, the Drifting Death with a Dragonlord Silumgar to test it out. I simply could not swing half the times with Silumgar, the Drifting Death because that meant me losing 10+ life sometimes against Aristocrats so he lost value. As far as removal, I don't think Crackling Doom is a good enough reason to remove him, if that was the only thing to take into consideration, because he is still hard to remove and his an amazing blocker; I do have to say that facing not only Crackling Doom but a big number of Fleshbag Marauders and Merciless Executioner added on top of it does make his Hexproof come across as semi worthless.
Thanks for the suggestion :D

Quite a nice deck. Instead of 'green esper,' I call it 'Flourishing Esper.'

Thanks for the comment :)
I actually like that name, any particular reason why you would chose the word "flourishing", if I can ask?

The_Riddlebox I just came up with it to break away from the norm. I chose 'flourishing' to symbolize green (because when you think of nature it's usually green) without being to obvious about it, and it just makes it sound cooler as well.

Also, I agree with the thought of you cutting a Silumgar, the Drifting Death for a Dragonlord Silumgar.

I am thinking of making the following changes. Any opinions?
Mainboard:
-1 Languish+1 Painful Truths
Languish is just starting to seem less of a must have card in my opinion, and it always sucks to have an Ojutai on the field with a Languish in hand.
Sideboard:
-1 Crux of Fate-1 Ob Nixilis Reignited+1 Dragonlord's Prerogative+1 Painful Truths
Never had a need to toss in a second Crux, and Ob Nixils is good if he sticks, but for 3 mana I can get out of Painful Trrths what would take Ob Nixilis 5 mana and 3 turns to accomplish; and while yes Ob Nixilis offers removal and a slow/grindy win-con, he was in SB mainly for card advantage.
That being said I am starting to feel like boardwipes are somewhat less relevant and spot removal gets me further in games. In these past few FNMs I never thought to myself "If only I could wipe the board I could win". Maybe I just lucked out in the matchups, or maybe I am bad at magic, but I don't feel like board wipes do me much good as of late.
I also haven't added the change from Silumgar to Dragunlord Silumgar as I don't have the card yet, but it will happen so I can test it if anything.

The Truth for the Languish in your main sounds good, but for the prerogative for Ob, it is up to you

Dragonlord silumgar can go a long way if you're worries about aristocrats as it allows you to take whatever piece of the puzzle they're using? I love this build though so good!

I'm glad you like the deck :)
And yeah Dragonlors Silumgar is definately going in over Drifting Death so I can try it out. I just havent updated the decklist yet.

even though i hate the way standard is naming 4 color decks this season i think bant black fits this better it just rolls off the tongue

Does it? Just sounds awkward to me. Also as I have told others, to me names need to be able to describe to an extent what the deck does, and this is an Esper Control shell splashing green and not a Bant deck splashing Black.
Appreciate the suggestion though :)

If you have trouble against aristocrats you might want to put 1 or 2 more Languish in the main or side. Pretty much wipes out anything they can throw at you. Silkwrap is also hugely powerful against aristocrats.

DaftVader my issue with Aristocrats isn't so much the life loss, or the amounts of creatures being thrown at me. I always lose against Collected Company and, the white card that brings creatures back from the grave can't remember the name atm, and Jace recurring the two. If i am not wrong my opponent runs 3 Jaces, 4 CoCo, and 3 of those white cards. That's 10 threats, or more if Jace gets to flip, that i need to take care off, all the while needing to keep the field clear. I eventually just kind of run out of answers.
However, I am starting to think that 4 Digs are too much, and I will remove one to pyt back a 2nd MB Languish like I originally had.
Thanks for the comment!

Rally the Ancestors? If it's really causing a problem, I run 2 Hallowed Moonlight in the sideboard of my current standard deck. Hits both CoCo and rally and it's in the right colour for you.

Rally the Ancestors that's the one!
Hallowed Moonlight is a thing I might have to try out, thanks for the reminder DaftVader!

Also to ensure you hit youre able to hit your green, I would play at least 2 of Windswept Heath
