So here is a loose base from the Battle for Zendikar Event Deck. I want to get back to playing standard, as I haven't played it since RTR left rotation. So please let me know any suggestions on how this deck can be made better. I took two of the event decks and combined them, as well as add a few cards, to make a deck that I hope runs smoother.

The Deck:

The deck runs like an aristocrat deck. You want to lay out chump blockers with Blisterpod and Eldrazi Scions. By having cards like Zulaport Cutthroat and From Beyond, you can afford to have your scions die by blocking, and still do damage to your opponent. Cards like Smothering Abomination, Catacomb Sifter, and Grim Haruspex you have extra effects taking place while your creatures are dying.

Sacrifice creatures to also pump up Nantuko Husk and swing for a powerful creature, and make him unblock able if you have Rogue's Passage on the board.

Hangarback Walker is another way to capitalize on threats. Place him on the board, pump him up, and swing away. He'll either be attacking to kill creatures, or he'll be dying to give you more tokens and more triggers for Zulaport Cutthroat.

This deck is really fun to play with because of the synergy. And every creature you play is going to benefit you by either directly attacking on the board, or giving you a trigger for your cutthroat.
