In the immeasurable dark of the universe, travels a roar that pierce the soul of those who hears it. Galazeth Prismari is a chaotic entity flying through the cosmos immolated in ice and fire, absorbing the energy of the stars to conjure massive novas, lighting the eternal night of the infinite. The "Nuclear Chaos".

Dragons have been always my favorite tribe; when i saw Galazeth Prismari (full art version), I couldn´t but imagine a space dragon flying in the emptiness of the universe. So this deck combine my love for big spells and dragons and tries to get the best of two worlds.

Some cards are in the deck for the lols and some others for the affectioni have for them. Love all suggestions.

Why treasures?

I love big spells, but they are very difficult to cast, specially playing izzet where mana is not abundant. This is where Galazeth shines, exploiting his ability to use any artifact as gas to our big novas.

Galazeht is a dragon and dragons love to hoard treasures. That's why the main objetive of this decks is create as many treasures as possible and use them to erase your opponents in a single blow. And the best part is that you dont have to sacrifice the treasures, so as the game progress, you just become stronger.

So, we have a space pirate Dragon that convert all artifacts in mana dorks. Either you use them as batteries or sacrifice them meticulously.

PILOT THE DRAGON

We want to cast our dragon as soon as possible. Luckly for us, he is a low mana commander, so usually turn 3 we are ready to play him and gain a treasure. In the meantime, we are going to prepare the battlefield, casting low mana cost spells like cantrips looking for card draw, treasure generators and removal.

Politic is always important in commander, so cards like Howling Mine and Trinisphere assure us to have presence in the table. But if negotiations fail, we go down accumulating cheap artifacts, such as Tormod's Crypt to prepare our big stars.

At first sight Galazeth doesn't seems like a threat and people people tend to underestimate him.

The only problem is that the moment you cast a big spell, the table is going to look at you. So you have to make it count and be prepare to gain some aggro.

Pros

  • Easy to pilot
  • Adaptable according to circumstances
  • Fun to play
  • More than one way to win

Cons

  • Very weak against artifact hate
  • Hard to master
  • Late game Archenemy
  • Can be overwhelmed by creatures

ARCHITECTURE

Dragons are renowned for being greedy. They are natural hoarders, and have a deep-seated drive to amass wealth in all forms. Dragons are infamous for their insatiable gold lust. But in short, they don't actually use the treasure for anything, having the vast treasure hoard is the end goal.

-Brass's Bounty: This is an amazing card. It will double you land-mana, and the best part is that, with Galazeth's abbility, you get to keep the treasures. Hoard for the win.

-Pirate's Pillage: You regain half the price you paid for this card, get to keep the treasures and also get two cards.

-Seize the Spoils: A weaker version of Pirate's Pillage. Still great and fits really well in the mana curve of the deck.

-Dockside Extortionist: The king of the avarice. One word: Amass. This spark will ignite the power of our deck.

-Goldspan Dragon: Generate treasures and deal a considerate amount of damage. Not so much to attract removals, but enough to hurt. Try to divide the damage among all your opponents.

-Storm-Kiln Artist: At first, this will give you treasures. But as the game progress it will become a unnotice menace. Opponents tend to ignore that the more artifacts you have, the stronger he is. Can finish an opponed with no blockers.

-Spell Swindle: A counter that gives you treasures. No more explanation needed.

-Curse of Opulence: Make an opponent a candy. Let the others do the dirty work.

Valuable jewels

-Trail of Evidence: We are casting a lot of spells, and this card will reward us for that.

-Tamiyo's Journal: A mana dork and a tutor.

-Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith: A mana dork and a removal. Because we dont like Kataki, War's Wage.

Soon

-Academy Manufactor: This card is amazing for this deck. Triplicate the number of mana dorks we create. Just imagine it paired with Dockside Extortionist.

-Rhystic Study: A commander staple.

-Finale of Revelation: Always try to cast this for the 10 mana to get the "no card limit" effect, because we will need it. Also it is a good way to recover some graveyard cards.

-Mind Spring: If you already have Galazeth in the battlefield, that means you have a least 5 lands and a treasure. That's 5 cards for a spell. This card just gets better as the game progress. Exponential.

-The Magic Mirror: We cast tons of instant and sorceries so the price wont be a problem. Also, it can be used as mana.

-Archmage Emeritus: Cast and draw. Repit until you are out of mana.

-Windfall: Cast your entire hand and then recharge.

Card Advantage

-Pirate's Pillage and Seize the Spoils: This two sorceries work perfect in our deck. Usually, they are not that good, cause they are a little to expensive for a mana dork that you will sacrifice. But Galazeth maximize their potential.

-Prismari Command: Card draw, treasure generator and removal. Choose according to circunstances.

Cantrips

Powerfull low mana spells that will help us accelerate our library. Some stardust.

-Ponder, Preordain, Opt, Serum Visions

-Deflecting Swat: Protec your commander or take a "target" spell.

-Cyclonic Rift: Board is getting out of control.

-Lightning Greaves: Protect the dragon and get one mana for it.

Use them to remove things that really hurt you, like Kataki, War's Wage or Collector Ouphe.

-Ravenform, Vandalblast, Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith, Chaos Warp, Pongify.

-Fiery Confluence: Semi-Boardwipe. This card is hell vs tokens and utility creature decks.

Not it my watch

-Narset's Reversal: Not a counter but is even better because works against things like Abrupt Decay. Also, you get to cast the spell.

-Reinterpret: You dont play your thing and i get to play mine for free.

-Spell Swindle: I sell your spell for gold, so you can´t cast it.

One of the weakness of this deck is we dont have a lot of creatures to defend ourselves. That is why political is important to keep the aggro away ultil we have the hand to rule them all. To do just that, use this gems of the infinite:

-Blinkmoth Urn: Almost all decks use artifacts, so the extra mana is always a good gift to the table. If someone is not cooperative, just tap it, denie the sweet benefits of being your friend.

-Howling Mine: All players love extra cards. I usually play this card by the rule "the moment someone attacks me, Howling Mine will be perma tapped. (except for you)

-Curse of Opulence: Someone is not willing to let you hoard. Teach that rat his/her place and profit form the pain.

-Trinisphere. This is difficult to politicize. Use against combo players and become the arbiter of the table.

-Isochron Scepter: Imprint any counter. Decide what gets played in the table. Imprint Narset's Reversal and steal you opponent's best spells.

This are the diamonds in the dragon´s crown.

-Rite of Replication: Normally Dockside Extortionist and Goldspan Dragon are the creatures you want to replicate, but the spell let you choose any creature in the battlefield, so feel free to experiment.

-Pyromancer's Goggles and Primal Amulet  : Sometimes a win-con with cards like Crackle with Power and sometimes gas with Pirate's Pillage. And when you fill nasty, use them to cast Time Warp. Kill or get killed.

-Mizzix's Mastery: Late game card. Don't be afraid to cast your spells, fill your graveyard and re-cast for the win.

-Storm the Vault  : Duplicate the power of your artifact mana dorks. And this mana can be used to cast any spell so you remove the one limitation of Galazeth's abilitie.

This is the way:

-Crackle with Power, Jaya's Immolating Inferno and Comet Storm: There is not to much to explain. Create tons of treasures/artifacts and use them to obliterare all you opponents in a blow. Usually a mid-late finisher. Use them only if you have one or two counters. You can maximize this with Pyromancer's Goggles, Primal Amulet  , Blinkmoth Urn and Storm the Vault  .

-Insurrection: Great card against creature and token decks. Wait ultil the board is full of creatures, calculate the damage and steal to strike. If one of you opponents have a sac outlet like Viscera Seer jakcpot.

-Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter + Sensei's Divining Top + two mana produced by other nonland permanents: Draw any amount of cards, look for whatever you need. Its difficult not to win with this advantage.

-Hellkite Tyrant + Time Warp : It is far easy to get 20 artifacts with this deck. Time warp will negate the chance to remove your dragon.
