Stolen Identity is really underrated, and absolutely great in a deck like this with cheap evasive guys to cipher onto and big expensive guys to copy.

t2 Stalker into t5 Aberration into t6 Stolen Identity copying Aberration/Ciphered onto stalker swinging Stalker and copying Aberration again puts three incredibly massive Aberrations on the field, mills the hell out of your opponent, and almost guarantees that you win on the next turn, either via mill or ridiculous amounts of damage.

Note that none of that is particularly difficult to set up, and that Jace's Phantasm will come very close to working just as well as Invisible Stalker (Though I would suggest more Stalkers in a deck that wants to use as much Cipher as this one probably does. Probably two more copies of Hands of Binding as well).

Also, you probably want a little more disruption. Either some counter spells of some sort (Probably either Syncopate or Dissipate), or some more kill of some sort (Devour Flesh or Ultimate Price are probably the best in your colors, even if they're not phenomenal. Unsummon isn't bad either. I'd say to drop the Grisly Spectacles for them, but Spectacle fits pretty well with your deck.) You're not in the right colors to win fast, so you want to be able to stop the decks that do.

Thanks I really like the stolen Identity idea and im putting in the extra stalkers too. I've heard other people say they aren't wild about the grisly spectacle since its so expensive. I agree it comes too late to stop any early game threats. But it handles all creatures unlike devour flesh and ultimate price. They just leave too many holes for me. So maybe I'll add some dissipates for early game disruption, and I'll put in two more hands of binding as well.

I dunno about Thought Scour however, do you think its worth having in there. It pretty cool since its like one mana and they mill and then you replace the card immediately. But it might just be junking up the rest of the deck.

It's alright. Probably not as valuable as some other stuff you could run, but I'm not really sure what to suggest over it.

I tried to make a cipher/ invisible stalker deck, but it was way to slow... Your deck playtests way better! Well done.

It looks incredibly slow to me. I've done a lot of experimenting with Black/Blue and I usually feel like even one Consuming Aberration is too slow. Add 2 Lazav and Evil Twin plus Stolen Identity and I can't imagine this deck holding up against aggro. JMO.

Duskmantle Guildmage is good don't cut it. The one Evil Twin is unnecessary.

Most mill decks like this are Esper, so that they can include things like Azorius Charm , Supreme Verdict and Detention Sphere .

Without white, you will need to use more/better forms of removal.

Longevity would be the key to winning with this deck, and a few Extort combined with Cipher can be just that. I would suggest removing the Evil Twin , and 2x Lazav, Dimir Mastermind , and at least 2x Paranoid Delusions , and get 3 or 4 Basilica Screecher , and 2 or 3 Jace, Memory Adept .

For removal I have the psychic strikes and the murder. Also the ciphering hands of binding on a stalker would slow them down. But, do you think more removal is needed on top of the jace and basilica screecher? From experimenting, I can get things out at a pretty reasonable rate here, but idk if its fast enough, if it is sometimes thats good enough for me.

take out the invisible stalkers, and replace them with at least 3 fog banks (preferably 4). (they can block anything including deathtouch without dying). Take out guildgates and put in preferably 4 drowned catacomb (2.80 a piece). Take out evil twin and curiosity and add two thought scour. The problem is not the idea and the cards themselves, its just how its going to play out tempo-wise. You need to look at the mana curve a little bit more and think what am I going to play turn one? then turn two? then 3? do I have options? It seems like you are relying heavily on having an invisible stalker and a hands of binding out, if you don't get both of those early, the deck flops. Its overall a good deck and a great cohesiveness, but could use a little bit of tweaking. Good stuff! +1If you were set on leaving the invible stalker combos in there, then I would suggest a little more card draw. Maybe a couple sign in blood (draw 2 yourself, or force them to), or two more thought scour.

you might also find that the psychic strike's end up being better than the victim of night's too, since so many people are playing creatures that can't be hit by victim. I'm not sure what would be better for removal though. Murder should stay in the sideboard.
