my own take on a Historic UR Phoenix Deck in MTG Arena aka URclight

double down on high tempo and spell-creature synergy

June 21, 2020 made it to Mythic Constructed Rank with this deck solely

the deck has problems against Lifegain and certain Reclamation/Bant variants where Uro plays a big role and if it doesn't close out the match from turn 7 onwards, the winning chances dwindle especially vs Angels

the winning margin for lethal can go as early as turn 3 but the window is usually turn 5 to turn 8 especially vs Esper & Shrine decks

when it comes to RDW(Torbran variants), Ulamog ramps, Dimir Shark/Pirates, Mono Black Devotion, and Gruul/dinosaur aggro, it's a matter of hand/draw and speed(and luck)

fairly good chance against Merfolk tribal, Azororius, Rakdos, Orzhov Vampires, Treasure Hunt decks

very good matchups vs Naya and Elf decks

essentially, as long as a sprite dragon or gutternipe stays in play and keep spell slinging(preferably for burn than removal)to maximise dmg per turn, the deck's tempo and direct approach becomes hard for opposition to outpace. sometimes they dont expect the phoenix coming in early and hot so the wins are usually snowball wins and losing becomes really visible by turn 7 onwards if unable to close out
