Thanks man! :)
Unfortunately Pillage isn't legal in Modern, otherwise i'd run it for sure.
About Icefall, i've not been facing too much trouble with artifacts, but the turn-3 land destruction is crucial sometimes, plus i need it to be CMC 3 to gain Value out of Goblin Dark-Dwellers
but nonetheless, i appreciate your help :)

Ah, you are correct, regarding Pillage. My apologies. I could've sworn I'd double-checked its legality before posting.

if you can afford it, Koth of the Hammer would be really good, if you're looking for mid/late game burn, Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh Flip could work too. obviously, in the line of planeswalkers Chandra, Torch of Defiance but she really isn't budget. I'd consider Searing Blaze, not sure how good it would be. Finally, Combustible Gearhulk as a 1-of would be hilarious.
as i'm a budget player looking for a potential modern deck as well, looking forward to how this deck evolves into an (even more) competitive list :)

hey! thanks for the advices :)
I am going to develop this deck with further IRL testing instead of MTGO in a few weeks (just waiting for the rest of the cards to arrive). I actually have Koth of the Hammer, Chandra, Torch of Defiance and a full playset of Blood Moon... I actually have the current Skred list (the one that won the GP), but ever since I startet playing this list on MTGO, I had too much fun with it...
So for now, I am going to use Chandra, Pyromaster not because I have to, but because I choose to. her +1 (ping) is more powerful than given credit for and her 0 is a type of card advantage, which is very rare in Red .
Even though Chandra, Torch of Defiance has a similar "exile top card" effect, I miss that 1 ping damage.
Searing Blaze is one that interests me. I've been given that advice by some friends before, but never gave it too much credit. But I'll look into it.
Combustible Gearhulk deserves some testing also. I am only a little bit afraid that it doesn't do much. On one hand we get a possible 3 draws, on the other hand the chances of it not dealing damage to the opponent (if him/her chooses not to give us 3 draws) is real. There are 24 lands on the deck and many cheap drops. I'd say the average damage dealt to the opponent would be 5 and if their health isn't low enough, that could be troublesome.... Anyways, I do not discard this option yet. I think it has potential and I'll test it also.
Thanks again man.Take care :)

Good pont about the gearhulk whiffing, never thought about that...I agree with you about the new Chandra's exile effect not allowing you to ping a creature, that could be huge in certain situations.oAnd blood moon would be hilarious as a sideboard card, but would kinda hurt your main win con I guess

Two budget options I was wondering if you interested in Young Pyromancer and Faithless Looting.

hey, thanks for the suggestions :)
I don't really think Young Pyromancer might be good on a build with 4 sweepers Anger of the Gods, but I think Faithless Looting might be interesting... although I think I'd change the list a bit to have some faithless demigod action going on if I'd go that route.
thanks man :)

This deck looks really sweet so +1 for me. Also, as I can see with your matchups, you don't have much success agasint tron so running Blood Moon would really turn that around.

Yeah, tron is a mess... But I don't know... I mean, I've played skred red since 2014 with 4 blood moons (at some point 2 magus of the moon too) and tron matchups have always been rough. mostly because they seem to always have that oblivion stone on the ready or sometimes because my clock wasn't fast enough. And i have the same problem with this deck...
My personal experience says that sowing salt, crumble to dust and pithing needle are sometimes more effective... plus blood moon is awkward with valakut hahahaha
And since I'm getting rid of all my collection, I won't have those blood moons no more too... I'll keep this deck though. Just this one because it became kind of a pet of mine... I didn't expect it to be as good as it was for such a budget deck.
I'm listening to any budget options though

Great deck! I like it and I am going to use it. Do you create it from zero?
February 20, 2018 7:34 p.m.
I was trying to budgetize “skred red” (which is already a relatively cheap deck hahahah)... This deck was doing nice when i first made it, i dont know if its still effective in today’s metagame

Great deck! The only recommendation I can think of would be to consider swapping the copies of Stone Rain in your sideboard for copies of either Icefall or Pillage. Both are super cheap, so neither would break the budget.
