That is for the suggestion! It's a good card, but if I'm going to run an aura it's going to be Rancor. The turn I would play the armor I would rather be playing Leatherback Baloth or Groundbreaker
This deck wants to win by turn four.

What is your reasoning Jsmith94?
From my experience with this deck I will never be able to have power greater than 4 and have the mana open to cast stampede. Sure I could cast a pump spell like vines or aspect pre-combat and cast stampede but that would possibly tip off my opponent on what I have in my hand

Groundbreaker seems like kind of a nonbo with Collected Company

What is a nonbo?
Also, yeah, hitting coco turn three and dropping two groundbreaker is pretty insane lol

Kjartan I considered Dungrove Elder and am highly considering fitting him in, maybe taking out Boon Satyr. However I like the flash ability and bestow has been useful too. It's a tough call.
December 25, 2015 9:38 a.m.
Nonbo means it doesn't really work. Hitting a Collected Company at instant speed and hitting groundbreaker would be bad

Are you kidding? I can hit a groundbreaker on turn two, then hit coco turn three and smash my opponents with 12 more trample damage if I hit two more groundbreaker (which has happened on multiple occasions)...that's 12-18 damage. By turn three. I will never play coco on end step, mainly because this deck has one goal: smash face. as fast as possible.
I don't care if my creatures die in this deck. They have one job. This is aggro, and coco in an aggro setting wants to hit two groundbreaker on turn three.

Thanks APPLE01DOJ! It's a hell of a lot of fun to pilot as well.

Actually I think you could cast CoCo at the end of your opponents turn and hit a Groundbreaker no problem. The triggered ability that makes you sacrifice it would trigger at the beginning of the end step, which would have already gone by when you cast Collected Company. Meaning that the next time it's ability would have a chance to trigger is your end step. It's a little unusual, because it's an older card and the way they've worded that ability more recently is "at the beginning of the next end step sacrifice this creature". So I believe that it would still work.

That actually makes sense.
Which is pretty cool. Thanks for pointing that out.

Considering adding Primal Rage as a singleton or 2 of. Probably won't though, since Rancor is getting added in somehow.
Any ideas what I take out for rancor? Maybe cut one or two overrun, a single aspect, and one vines? Or maybe replace overrun entirely? It's a tough call.
Also might add Plummet to the sideboard.

Overrun is by far the most missplaced card in the deck.

Kjartan I will test with it in place of overrun and report back.

That's what I have been doing so far but I haven't tested enough yet. I think Rancor will win since it helps close games a bit faster

Plus the mana cost difference is huge. How many creatures does your deck get online at once during any average game?

It varies, sometomes a ton, sometimes just a few. But even if it's just two (not counting the elvish mystic being used to cast it early) it still pushes damage through

I understand this is supposed to be agro, but I would recommend Noble Hierarch over Elvish Mystic, unless it is there for budget reasons. The couple of games where you're playing a deck that has heavy creature hate the exalted triggers could help push that last little bit of damage through, and the switch doesn't effect devotion nor ramp. Obviously a little bit more money.
Are there any decks you are particularly weak against?
December 28, 2015 11:17 a.m.
demonicgrizzly says... #23
Pheardemons budget concerns are a slight yes on that one lol but that's actually a solid recommendation. honestly i never even thought about that over mystic, and was considering Cathedral of War for the exalted trigger but that Noble Hierarch would do both exalted and tap for green without adding an awkward land
i will have to work that in as a replacement for mystic. it would make my turn 2 grounbreaker hit for 7 instead of 6, which could be the difference between a turn 4 win and a turn 5 win. also allows me to potentially run Path to Exile in the sideboard...solid suggestion. very solid. thanks!
as far as decks that i am weak against, anything with heavy removal/interruption (jund, abzan) obviously is rough since im heavy creature based, and splinter twin decks (which are miserable to play against for anybody since there's little to no interaction or gameplay for the opposition) give me a hard time because all they do is bolt and path all my creatures and they usually run Spellskite game 2 which makes all my pump spells useless.

Yea I'm an avid blue hater, which is why I love decks like this. Splinter Twin decks and grixis control are just annoying to play against.
Since budget is a thing I'd suggest dual lands like Canopy Vista and maybe fetch lands like Windswept Heath if you're looking to splash. Shock lands like Temple Garden are usually the go-to but Canopy Vista is a more life-friendly and budget option. I chose the green white options because you were saying you wanted to splash for Path to Exile. Also if you do go white Leyline of Sanctity in the sideboard could help with decks that do hand disruption.
Other splash options could be black for Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek which could also include stuff like Go for the Throat for other creatures that could be a problem. Blue for possibly counters or stuff like Vapor Snag. Red could help with the aggro aspect with other elementals like Spark Elemental, Hellspark Elemental, and or/Ball Lightning. Also, while it contradicts the Noble Hierarch if you are truly looking to splash colors you could look into Birds of Paradise.
For your sideboard I'd suggest things that get rid of artifacts and enchantments. Decks like Boggle are faster than you generally and they have lifegain. One problem you and burn have in common is lifegian decks take you longer to kill which could mean the win or loss. I'd look into cards like Back to Nature, Naturalize, Creeping Corrosion, and if you're splashing white stuff like Revoke Existence. Those could help with those pesky Spellskites.

i have been tooling with the idea running the green shocklands for splashing colors, that way i can guarantee colors and open my board. tripple red for Ball Lightning might be tough but budget isn't entirely concerning, i have most of the cards you just mentioned lol
thanks for the suggestions! i like it, keep em coming

Blanchwood Armor would work wonders for this deck.
