Primalcrux Needs a very specific setup to be playable.
One that probably includes Garruk Wildspeaker

ClockworkSwordfish, Kjartan is correct. Primalcrux does need a very specific setup, and this isn't the one. While primalcrux is good, this deck very rarely needs more than four mana on the field (land or otherwise) to close, and vast majority most of the time when I hit Become Immense I pop it off for one, maybe two mana thanks to delve.
Primalcrux demands a much different game plan and demands too many resources for it to be in this deck.

You have access to white so have you considered Timely Reinforcements as a potential sideboard card? It's really great because you have the potential to gain 2 Lightning Bolts worth of life and you can also gain creatures if you're behind on the board state.

thanks for the suggestion but i don't really need a situational life gain card. if i want to gain life i will bring in Feed the Clan. the chances that i will have a 4 power creature out to trigger the 10 life is very high, with all the pumps and rancor and if i don't i still gain 5. i usually always have more creatures, unless for some reason i am playing against a deck with a ton of removal, in which case the opponent will probably not have many creatures on the field. also the soldiers would just essentially serve as chump blockers, which is not what this deck wants. and if i wanted the creatures i could run Lingering Souls which is better because the tokens have flying but i would rather be playing one of my three drops on that turn because they are a lot more threatening than a pair of 1/1 soldier/spirits. if i encounter a lot of removal i just bring in Surgical Extraction so i can dig their removal out of their deck.
its a decent card, but there are much better options for this type of deck

demonicgrizzly: That's fair. I know the format is getting more creature-based especially with Eldrazi hitting the format hard so we need all the options we can get.

HSF117 i am waiting to see how the format evolves after the PT - the thing with the eldrazi decks sweeping the PT is that people are going to build the decks to beat them, and i think it's a "burn fast, die hard" situation with these eldrazi decks. but we will see how the format is in a few weeks, nobody really knows lol but before i make any drastic changes i'm going to wait it out a bit

demonicgrizzly: I agree. I'm not making any changes in my modern deck right now. At least not because of Eldrazi.

right - i am probably going to sell some of the cards too since they all spiked hardcore in value over the last like three days haha

abenz419 your comment about groundbreaker would be incorrect. This is a really interesting deck. I've played a lot of monogreen, but none quite like this. I'm not huge on boon satyr, but you seem to like its versatiliy. Groundbreaker seems cool with since you can turn 2 it. I don't think that you have a high enough threat density and too many spells. I play 2 aspect 4 vines. I'd recommend treetop village and dryad militant.

Murpy I have playtested this deck a lot, and I am very happy with the current form. I was a bit skeptical of Boon Satyr myself but it has actually won me multiple games, as it bestowed on Leatherback Baloth enchanted with Rancor very good. As for Groundbreaker, hitting it on turn two and following with Collected Company on turn three is a huge power play for the deck. If met with no opposition it is seven to the face with exalted trigger and its big enough that it will kill literally anything they can have out if they block, so it's a good tempo card too.
I like Dryad Militant but I am afraid that it might hurt my ability to cast Become Immense. I rely heavily on the deuce mechanic to cast that card when I draw it, because castng it for one or two mana is essential to leave myself the open mana to cast Vines of Vastwood if they try to exile or destroy my creature in response, or if I'm facing an opposing Spellskite it will let me cast Oxidize. It is worth testing, though. So I will consider the suggestion.
As for Treetop Village I don't want any land entering tapped as I want this deck to be as fast and responsive as possible. It's a great card, but I want to spend my mana on pumps, protection in the form of vines, and creatures. activating treetop doesn't cost much but I need two other land for it to be effective and on those turns I would rather be casting more powerful. It might be a cool one of, what do you think?

You don't have any draw so why not Revenge of the Hunted over Become Immense?
February 15, 2016 9:25 a.m.
Kidchaos2084 - Because Become Immense is more consistant.

Because if I do draw it in my opening hand, I am doomed to pay its casting cost. With Become Immense, I can delve my yard out to pay for it wether I draw into it or it is in my opening hand.
I play become immense because I want options, and delve lets me cast a six mana spell and leave mana open for protection from Vines of Vastwood or another pump from Aspect of Hydra

Kjartan has another point. There's a reason become immnse is run in fast aggro decks like stompy and infect. It's just that good

I would replace the 4x Boon Satyr with 4x Birds of Paradise because it increases the chances of a turn 2 Groundbreaker or Leatherback Baloth and a turn 3 Collected Company. It can also be used as a way to get the last points of damage through in the air with Rancor or Aspect of Hydra.
Maybe Boggart Ram-Gang have a place in this deck, because it increases the creature desity in the deck and a Collected Company deck works best with around 30 creatures. It does also make the Aspect of Hydra even more deadly with the 3 devotion to green.

I can also recommend that you run Natural State (Affinity and Bogles) and Unravel the ther / Deglamer (Wurmcoil Engine and Batterskull) in the sideboard.

Shadowwarrior346 Oxidize is better than Natural State in my meta - there are no enchantment decks in my meta, and nobody plays boggles. Oxidize also deals with both Wurmcoil Engine and Batterskull with no conditional restrictions.
I am not running birds because i simply don't need it. I normally don't keep a hand without Noble Hierarch unless it's really really good.
The ram gang seems good but I prefer Boon Satyr because it gives me options, and bestowing Boon Satyr on anything with rancor is great. It also becomes a creature once it is no longer bestowed so it prevents two for ones. It has flash, so I can flash block, flash bestow, flash it in at end step, and so on. It's just a great utility creature that helps this deck go long if need be.
The deck as it sits is pretty tuned. Thanks for the suggestions! Unravel seems like a strong sideboard card, though. I will consider it.

I would also suggest adding 4x Avatar of the Resolute instead Kalonian Tusker, because you have very little air defence, which could leave you in situations where an Inkmoth Nexus with Cranial Plating or Become Immense can kill you. You only lose 1 toughness compared to Kalonian Tusker and gain Trample, Reach and maybe some counters if Strangleroot Geist have died once.
Oxidize only solves part of the problem with Wurmcoil Engine, because it will leave back a 3/3 Deathtouch and 3/3 Lifelink, Unravel the ther and Deglamer solves it completely. :)

I have been considering avatar, it's definitely a good card, plus trample and reach in great for two mana. I am testing it as we speak. I may even put in a singleton Hardened Scales. Thoughts?

I don't think it is necessary in your deck and it will become a bad topdeck in long games.
February 16, 2016 7:06 a.m.
Only good card I can think of to run in this awesome deck is Garruk's Companion it is low has a good 3/2 and it has trample built in Mutagenic Growth Llanowar Augur and last Heroes' Bane this hydra id greatly overlooked in my oppinon he is great in my green/red furry deck..Im just not sure how quick you are intending to win but this are some great cards to consider

thanks Brian1!
Garruk's Companion was a consideration but i am currently testing Avatar of the Resolute in that slow, which is essentially the same but it has reach and an extra ability for the same mana cost. Mutagenic Growth is a great card and i like that it can be cast for free, which in many cases is good. i may test this card.
the other two cards unfortunately are a little too slow, this deck wants to win on turn 4 or 5 but can go long if need be.
February 16, 2016 1:55 p.m.
aee..my bad I didn't realize you were trying to win turn 4..well my only last trump-card for this kind of deck is Llanowar Augur..nice 1 drop high health and sack it for +3/+3-gain trample..!!

I know it's a Coco build, but I bet you could run a single Primalcrux over Become Immense.
