Could Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded actually work in this deck??? That would be... weird.

Think I'll take Notion Thief out, since he messes up the mass draw damage. I'd prefer to have my opponents flush their full hands down the toilet than have all that draw in my hands.

Took out Vicious Shadows because it goes better in my Tymaret, the Murder King deck...Tymaret, the Sausage King of Chicago. Besides, not so much creature killing as creature aborting in this deck.

Price of Knowledge from the Grixis deck of commander 2013 should go well with this deck :) Prosperity , Skyscribing and Minds Aglow could be some other cards to consider too.

Nekusar, the Mindrazer is in the database

Spisepinden excellent suggestions, especially Minds Aglow , which adds a political element in terms of opponents screwing other opponents by forcing a big draw. Dastardly.

Grafted Exoskeleton onto Nekusar, gg.

cazoof true - do you play with infect in EDH much? My particular group tends to frown on it, but I can imagine putting Grafted Exoskeleton in there for more competitive situations.

Magus of the Jar would be an interesting addition to the deck with the Underworld Dreams and Megrim in there

AztecaSaint do you make that recommendation because of CMC and the "sacrifice permanent" clause on Grafted Exoskeleton ?

AztecaSaint says... #13

Same goal for a cheaper cost, and yes. How wants to sacrifice a creature from someone removing Grafted Exoskeleton ?

November 7, 2013 6:40 a.m.

I looked over Phyresis , its very good, in my meta things can be real competitive sometimes, we have tournaments for cash prizes all that jazz. Im gonna put both Phyresis and Grafted Exoskeleton into my deck.

Another suggestion would be Iron Maiden to help you kill people even faster. Ivory Tower and Venser's Journal could also be added to help keep you alive from all of the hate that is probably going to come your way :)

i am trying to build my deck around Jeleva but Nekusar seem to be more fun and also more multiplayer friendly (which i play mostly). IMO in a deck like this Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Seizan, Perverter of Truth must be in the deck. There are a few infinite combos with niv-mizzet but i dont like playing that way, still even with his ability everytime you cast a spell and draw a new hand it does 7 damage, if is something like teferis box well things are going to get ugly for your opponents lol and that is not even counting other sources of damage like nekusar, underworld dreams and whatever you have in play.

Jeleva's Spell deck this is my jeleva spell deck, when i finish this completely (still need some cards) i am going to try to find the cards to build a Nekusar deck slowly, maybe i can just swap a few cards and have 2 different decks.

KrlosPR thanks for the suggestions! I definitely have Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Seizan, Perverter of Truth in the Maybe Board right now because I don't have copies of either. Niv would be a total stud in this deck, both for the combo piece and because I could use additional big bodies on the board. As soon as I can trade for a copy, he's going in.

The only thing I would disagree with you on is that while this deck is great for Multiplayer, it is far from "friendly" :)

In fact, the last time I played, it was against a Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge spell deck and a Rakdos, Lord of Riots creature deck, and the board was essentially empty except for my Megrim and Underworld Dreams ... I had a wonderful time, but my opponents just could not create board presence and were thoroughly frustrated (muahahaha).

@babydaggers lol well is good for multiplayer yea and friendly well i guess i used the wrong words, is fun for you definetely but is not going to be for others and you will get all the aggro on the board from other players lol. Fun for you to play, but not so fun to play against, i would definitely hate to play against a Nekusar deck jajaja. Even tho the deck might be an annoyance is beatable, nothing infinite or a 1, 2 turn wins (that i know of) so is alright.

In our playgroup of friends there is one that use the alluren deck (yea the old one, not commander) so the whole board can be dead in what turn 2 or 3 lol. Other one sometimes use a reanimator that locks you up in the first turn making everyone discard there hand with the ravnica block demon. They are a pain but kinda use to that kind of deck :P

Now we are getting into commander and one already was making and artifact deck, wanted to include the banned Eldrazi, i was like come on man lets keep it fun to play, its just for fun.

KrlosPR haha fair point - Eldrazi make life interesting for sure.

you know, your deck is currently at 101 cards right? because it's not counting your commander right now

November 19, 2013 9:37 p.m.

babydaggers says... #22

almalong so it is... thanks for the catch, I'm taking out Kaervek the Merciless (mana heavy and draws extreme amounts of hate).

November 22, 2013 8:43 a.m.

almalong says... #23

well I'm playing a little more control version of this deck, and I found that Kaervek the Merciless is really good, especially with Forced Fruition and Painful Quandary on the board they need to be REALLY sure of what they want to play or else it will hurt them alot

November 25, 2013 12:35 p.m.

babydaggers says... #24

almalong yeah it's definitely a strong card, but Price of Knowledge has the same CMC and actually directly punishes big hands.

I could potentially leave Kaervek in and cut Crosis, the Purger , but that big flying body is really useful, not to mention he destroys mono-colored decks (which are plentiful in my meta)...

Toil / Trouble might not be pulling its weight right now, so perhaps that's the cut.

Dream Halls might just be tons of fun in this deck; having all the discard and spell cast triggers.
