Been looking for a simic deck that works well and is fun as hell to play for a couple of weeks now, and this looks fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't want to drop a hundred and fifty dollars on this when magic 2014 is going to be released in a month : /. I assume since you said this was your main deck that you will be updating it when 2014 comes out? If so, I'l definitely keep an eye on this as it looks like it works and works well. As far as the Biovisionary win con goes, I totally get it. Sometimes it's just fun to KNOW that it could happen, even if the odds of it happening arn't in your favor. Doesn't have to the be PERFECT set up for you to get the most fun out of a deck. Anyway, definitely +1

As far as Standard rotating, I may just replace the Pilgrims with Elvish Mystics, but when Innistrad drops, this is gonna be a Modern deck and I'll have to make do with slivers. But until then, I'm runnin' it the way it is.:)

Ah, alright then, might as well wait until card prices go down before I make it. Standard or Modern, this deck just screams fun to play and I really want to get my hands on a copy of it.

I would definitely play Prime Speaker Zegana over Zameck Guildmage . He doesn't really do anything for your deck and Zegana will give you the draw you need when you have an over abondance of mana, which happens a lot here.

I would add AEtherize as a counter to attacks in case they are attacking with trample or flying and you need to keep your creatures.

Cyclonic Rift is hilarious out of these decks, and adds another defense against o'ring

Ive been wanting to build an evolve deck since i picked up the Simic Domination starter when Dragons Maze was released. That deck sucked but I saw much potential there. I look forward to the post innistrad updates. +1 from me

I went 3-2 tonight at FNM, first 2 games were a bust, nothing but lousy draws, all land and mana ramp. round 3 I had a bi, last 2 rounds, was where it shined, first game I won on turn 5, had 4 creatures out 1 was the Biovisionary than with the mana ramp I cast Infinite Reflection end turn win. 2nd match I had Primal Surge cast remarkably fast and I got biovisionary again with infinite.

Forgot to put in other comment:

Since I was short some cards I put in Unflinching Courage and it saved my hide for the win on my last game, I was down to 3 life opponent was at 9+ so I enchanted my 4/5 Gyre Sage and swung for 8 life with 2xElven Archdruids out. My opponent kept swinging with his 3 creatures trying to finish me off, but that UF card was the game changer I was looking for.

Very cool. I love the simic processes and this is really appealing to me. My eimic is an aggro build that rarely goes past turn 5 unless my opponent stalls me. +1

Upvote from me but what happens when rotation comes in the fall? Do you have a idea for a new version of the deck?

After rotation this is simply a modern deck. It won't be able to function without our friends in Innistrad.

So i went and bought most of this deck, shock lands and garuk and that artifact aside, and added some green and blue spells I had, and I gotta say, this is a ton of fun to play. I will say, however, that my brother has completely fucked me over three times now with one damn spell. And yes, I know it's modern, but Turn to Frog , right when you infinite reflection, is horrible. Turns your whole field to frogs, and they don't turn back, except for the biovisionary. Anyway, other than that, love the deck.

Ya that would be a problem but at least we have till the fall before this deck would have to face that card in a tournament.

Sixty3Zero curious, what do you think of adding in Bred for the Hunt , Give / Take , Fathom Mage or even Progenitor Mimic ? As I stated before, really like the deck, but looking for ways to give a bit of a twist while keeping it more or less similar.

July 6, 2013 12:59 a.m.

Sixty3Zero says... #22

I don't tend to add non-permanent spells because of Primal Surge , and I feel Fathom Mage and Bred for the Hunt aren't that good for constructed. I'm on the fence about the Mimic, but ultimately I prefer Infinite Reflection as the copying six drop.

You can feel free to experiment with the decklist as you please. I'm not changing it, however.

Thanks for your input! Wasn't expecting you to change your deck up, just wanted your opinion on the cards.

Although Give / Take would probably be a better drawing option for the sideboard than Beck / Call . I should probably think this over.
