Quick! Before you really screw up with Primal Surge! Run Laboratory Maniac!

The only time I "really screw up" with Primal Surge is when my Akroma's Memorial is outside of the deck, battlefield, or hand and the other Primal Surge is in my hand. But then I win with 27 Biovisionaries or something. As fun as Laboratory Maniac is in theory, it's sideboard at best.

Ok. That sounds like a really fun premise to a deck, though. I don't win by damage or mill. I win by being a maniac with bio-vision. 0-0

just my 2 cents: Infinite Reflection is not worth running 4 of. I drop it down to 3 at the very most. If you draw it early or without any creature to target or if you draw too many it is a wasted draw.

i would recommend finding a little room for something like Alpha Authority because it follows the idea of only two non permanents in the main deck but also prevents removal of your biovisionary, i like the idea but in my biovisionary deck, i like to just make copies quickly and stop people from attacking with fog, fog bank and druids deliverance but this idea is great too seeing as you will primal surge into a win, im just saying, you might want to give hexproof to either biovisionary or elvish archdruid so people dont just wipe out your mana ramp into primal surge win or destroying your biovisionary in some awkward way, also i would maybe get a witchbane orb to stop any sort of burn decks cause youre obviously aiming for the biovision win

Alpha Authority isn't a terrible idea. I always find myself disappointed at an end of turn Searing Spear wiping out my Archdruid or Biovisionary. I may put in the sideboard for now.

What do you think about Witchstalker , Savage Summoning , and Scavenging Ooze as side deck cards, and Door of Destinies for the mainboard. It looks pretty decent, it's mainly an elf deck, and this would get big quickly.

Savage Summoning just seems to take a slot to me. The counter-proof, flash, and single +1/+1 counter doesn't seem particularly relevant to me. I'm on the fence about Witchstalker but he may find a SB spot if the black/blue shenanigans prove to be a nuisance. Scavenging Ooze is beautiful and will make at least a three of in my SB after I get my hands on them. I don't think I'll run Door unless I want the goofy option of naming "Mutant" and having my Masterly Biomanced creatures gain a slight bump-up in their already absurd p/t.

i like the door in the main deck to make the smaller stuff like the elvish visionary relevant but definitely keep the witch stalker and savage summoning on the sideboard to deal with faggy dimir decks and counter magic but i personally would stay away from scavanging ooze because it just doesnt follow the archatype im seeing here but my roommate plays dimir so i do live the other two for the side board but then again im all sorts of biased, but definitely do the door if you can make rrom because you could choose either elf or MUTANT because of the biomancer, now thatd be dirty
July 18, 2013 1:58 a.m.
naming elf on the door is a great idea though, itll make your stuff huge for no reason, maybe replace one or two garuks with them, it would be just fine
July 18, 2013 2 a.m.
but not everyone counters so keep that in mind for the savage summoning
July 18, 2013 2:01 a.m.
Well, naming mutant on the door seems like overkill. Was thinking it could be used on elf to keep the mana batteries from being shut down with electrickery and lightning bolt

Nice to see a fellow Biovisionary build. I run a Bant version with Thragtusk , Restoration Angel and Sphinx's Revelation . The main deck Simic Charm s also help a great deal too. Infinite Reflection with the other mentioned creatures can be absolutely nasty as well, with the Thrag army making nightmares for control decks and Resto Angel armies doing the same against non-flying aggro.
With my schedule I haven't been able to try it out competitively, but it's been extremely successful within my playgroup. Check out Bionic Commandos if you get a chance. :)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Door of Destinies and biomancer don't work together like that for mutant. The biomancer doesn't turn them into mutants until they hit the battlefield so as they are cast they are not mutants and thus will not put charge counters on the door. The elf thing would work though but just be careful with that because it makes Gyre Sage stronger and thus harder to evo.

I am not sure i like the idea of a 10 drop Primal Surge instead running 2 Primeval Bounty . Overall i like the idea of the deck it seems really fun :D

I like Primeval Bounty but I don't feel it overtakes Primal Surge in power level. The ten mana isn't difficult to reach; I've reached it turn 4 before.

Have you done any FNMs with this deck yet? I would love to see some results from this deck.

I've done every FNM with this deck for at least the past two months now and it's become notoriously difficult to beat. I've won Dragon's Maze Game Day with it and around four or five more tourneys alongside that.

HFS, this deck is AWESOME. A little expensive, but awesome. +1
August 11, 2013 5:55 a.m.
wow, i cant think of any way to improve this deck. +1 :D
Btw, can you look at my deck, Only the Flashiest (Advice wanted)? need some more opinions on it.

what do you think about taking out one Garruk, Primal Hunter and putting in one Garruk Relentless Flip ? Once he transforms you can get a Biovisionary or another creature card you need plus he makes 1/1 wolfs with deathtouch. I'm trying to make the deck but don't want to pay $12 for something that will rotate soon. Any thoughts?
