Welcome to my Commander deck featuring everyones feathered friend Breena, the Demagogue

As the face commander of the Silverquill Statement product, no doubt there are plenty of other options for decks out there as the majority of face precon commanders are usually super popular. The idea of the deck relies quite a bit on being able to leverage Breena, the Demagogue's ability to get our opposition attacking each other instead of us.

Because Breena is the lifeblood of this strategy, it's strongly suggested to keep her flying under the radar as much as possible and not dump all the +1 counters on her until late game and someone's usually eliminated. To help this, we have more enticing creatures to stick the counters on that should hopefully take our opponents eyes off the bird. Bloodtracker is great for this for the card draw and the counters especially help Esper Sentinel scale much better as the game goes on. Mikaeus, the Lunarch helps us pump our entire team each turn for the single counter he loses. We also have Elenda, the Dusk Rose, Basri's Lieutenant The Ozolith and Felisa, Fang of Silverquill that give us some resource replenishment should our stuff get wiped. Retribution of the Ancients is some stellar repeatable removal also. Finally, Noosegraf Mob allows us to keep churning out Zombies for as long as we can stick counters on it, it's really great tech in this deck!

Since we are mostly relying on the phrase 'But you draw a card if you attack them' we don't run much of a pillowfort strategy. We have a few bits though to keep us safe though like Crawlspace reduces the number of attackers and Cunning Rhetoric give us the top card of their library as punishment for swinging our way. We do have a few political cards though in our toolbox to try curry favour with our opposition so they don't look our way. Victory Chimes provides them an extra mana each turn Act of Authority is an excellent removal card to pass around the table, similar to Council's Judgment for removal. We have the Black and White 'Court of' cards to bring in the Monarchy, another amusing and fun political tool to go around the table. There's plenty of ways to make friends.

Our primary wincons are either our commander for commander damage later on in the game, it adds up quite fast. Hatred gives us a dirty sneaky KO that most people won't see coming. If the game goes on long enough and we have a good mana pool, a big fat Debt to the Deathless will do some work. Although less likely, there is the option of going wide with cards like Felidar Retreat and the mentioned Noosegraf Mob or Court of Grace but I've yet to win as such. As a final mention, because we are running Orzhov colours, we get access to some of the best and diverse removal available.

Thanks for checking out my Breena, the Demagogue deck out of all out there! If you are politically savvy within your playgroup it's a great way to flex that muscle. If you liked this deck, please do check out my other ones below:
