Sweet blood-witch of all that is Rakdos. +1 from me for an effective aggro deck & a boss deck name.

What makes you pass up Madcap Skills ? Don't wanna get 2-for-1'd?

Stupid question: Why no mainboard'd Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch ? I would think 12 unleash creatures would steer you that direction. (To clarify, I'm not advocating for or against it. This is pure curiosity.)

Good luck man, also I suggest throwing in a couple Read the Bones . Its amazing when you got an empty hand, and always gets you a land. Almost as if it takes a mana off of its CMC.

I feel the restrictive cost of Spike Jester isn't worth the 1 power over Rakdos Shred-Freak .

I'm kind of concerned that I only have 4x Rakdos Cackler as a one drop. Im considering adding Tormented Hero to the deck, any thoughts?

so many 1s and 2s off can throw off your consistency.

I would remove Tymaret, the Murder King , Thrill-Kill Assassin , and Nighthowler .

definitely go 4 Tormented Hero . also Titan's Strength works better for triggering heroic along with its actual ability. I would cut those and add 2 more Magma Jet for more umph.

if you can get your hands on some Stormbreath Dragon , i would put those in over the Underworld Cerberus . overall though, decent start to the deck

So last Friday the card that gave me fits was Obzedat, Ghost Council . I was unable to remove it all 3 times it hit the board. Dreadbore is sorcery speed and it would take Lightning Strike + another burn spell to end him before he exiles. Boarding in Doom Blade would have been pointless, my deck had no answers for him other than Slaughter Games . Against mid-range decks I have no problem Slaughter Games 'n it, but against Esper Control there are a lot of more important targets to remove. Is replacing Doom Blade with Hero's Downfall in my side board the answer?

Maybe just sideboard a couple Hero's Downfall ? Because there will be more situations where Sorcery isn't fast enough. Take out a sideboard Dreadbore (you probably won't ever need four) and either a Magma Jet or a Lightning Strike , 2 should be enough.

Yup I think Hero's Downfall makes sense. Hadn't considered that lone Dreadbore in my sideboard to take out. I haven't sided it in once and even if I did want more removal Hero's Downfall serves that purpose and gives me a little more versatility. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sideboard:-3x Doom Blade and +3x Hero's Downfall -1x Dreadbore and +1x Stormbreath Dragon

Cracked a Stormbreath Dragon in a booster. I'm going to side it and see if I feel the need to board it in against a U/W/R control. I've played against it and was not impressed so it might be a dead card.

Some suggestions based on some things you mentioned: As far as one drops, Foundry Street Denizen or Legion Loyalist would be pretty solid. Nivmagus Elemental doesn't get a lot of love but he also gives you an alternate solution if any of your spells get countered to increase his threat. For the 3cmc slot, you could take a look at Herald of Torment if you were willing to take a bit of a hit on your red devotion. A 3/3 flyer for 3 is a decent creature, but if you bestow him, well, few things are scarier than a flying Boros Reckoner with bigger stats. Going back to Hellhole Flailer isn't bad either, and gives you direct damage on a stick. I'd recommend adding a couple of basic swamps to ensure you can hit all your black costs reliably. Since your only off colors are hybrid the Temple of Deceit and Temple of Silence are a little redundant. If you're looking for scry I would suggest using Magma Jet again over the scry lands. It doesn't cut your tempo and scrying between turns is huge for a deck like this when you can tailor your draw to better respond to your opponent.

Thanks for your suggestions. If I do speed it up with one drops it'll be Rakdos Cackler and Legion Loyalist . As I play more Chandra's Phoenix has been better than I thought it would in this deck.

The deck is playing more like a control/midrange deck which was not what I planned but its fun and has tested well. I'm a scryaholic and the lands help fix a lot of draws. I have no card draw and need to hit land drops. I've been playing with 4 swamps, going to try the extra scrys.

The scry lands have actually been a solid improvement over basic swamps and generally have had no problem hitting 4 lands with at least 1 producing black mana. Seem to get flooded mid-late game pretty often though and am considering cutting a land for a 4th Dreadbore or adding a 3rd Rakdos's Return to utilize the extra mana.

Also considering Revoke Existence for the sideboard. Probably not a good idea and I have a tendency to try to do too many things with decks and end up diluting their power and focus. I have 6 lands that tap for white mana which is probably enough to support 2x Revokes. This deck just really hates Detention Sphere .

Any opinions on these 2 issues are welcomed.

Regarding the first issue, I think you'll get more value out of Rakdos's Return . You've already got some decent removal, and Madcap Skills functions to help eat up creatures if you stack something and force your opponent to 2 for 1. Especially if you're getting flooded frequently. It's also a better card against control so you don't have to worry that you're investing too heavily in one direction.

As for the second, with 8 white sources I think 2 revokes is fine in the sideboard. Especially with all the scry triggers you have you're almost certain to get them when you need it.
