Quarion65 If she was 4 cmc then i would but at 5 i have better things to be doing like activating Vault of the Archangel. I would side her in against burn also if she was 4 cmc but at 5 its to much and her ult might be bad if i have Bitterblossom and/or Sorin, Solemn Visitor

Your side board looks like you fear twin decks. 2 Torpor Orbs & 2 Batwing Brume. I've been thinking about adding Blind Obedience to my SB. Also, how's the 2nd copy of Gavony Township been working for you?
August 28, 2015 12:56 a.m.
Batwing Brume is also against infect and affinity as it can basically make them lose the game if i pay white. Torpor Orb is in mainly for twin so thats the only dedicated twin one. And i think Blind Obedience could also work. It depends on the meta. If there is more abzan then go with Torpor Orb but if there is more grixis and jund then go with the Blind Obedience. And i really like having 4 utility lands as there is a decent chance i'll draw into one and both are pretty helpful for me.

Just butting in, I think Blind Obedience might help with certain burn matches as well, but it'd depend on the deck.

electromancer It really is a meta call. If there is more artifact hate in your area like jund and grixis then use Blind Obedience but if there is more enchantment hate like Junk then use Torpor Orb. Both have merits. Torpor Orb also helps against Bloom Titan, Faeries, or soul sisters. Granted those aren't super big right now but they're still helpful should I play them.

I don't see the township giving as much as other cards would there (either win-more or just weak here) then rule of law is arguably better than eidolon in most cases in the sideboard

darkfish1 it's here as a mana dump and something to trick my opponents with as a late game trick. And having just found out about Rule of Law, i dont know. I like the body as I bring it in against burn and it can block Goblin Guide all day until they use a precious burn spell on it instead of me.

I'd swap out your 2nd Swamp for an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to help turn your utility lands into colored mana. I'm also not sure that you want 2 Townships with only 1 green source, but that's just me.
September 24, 2015 8:40 a.m.
GeminiSpartanX I had thought about having Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth but i have enough ways to get back mana. Very very rarely i'll end up being mana screwed. Urborg will help those with tri color like junk, jund, or grixis. And i have multiple ways to getting the single shock, but no way except pulling the Township from my deck.

Yes you can find your 1-of shock easily enough, but against a deck like Merfolk with their Spreading Seas it can make the single green source a liability. That's also another good reason to run an Urborg, since the 2nd swamp really doesn't add more to the deck than the Urborg would which can protect against corner cases like Spreading Seas.

i run almost the same except i splash blue for polymorph and then elesh norn
September 27, 2015 11:59 a.m.
GeminiSpartanX I guess i'm not super worried about the corner cases as of yet. If they come into play more and more i might change it up but for now its just a we'll see. No one in my meta plays Merfolk so maybe thats why i'm less concerned.
Dirt3pz Doing that though would require me to drop the Auriok Champion which almost means i win against Twin and is hard for Grixis to deal with. And i don't want to splash a 4th color for something that won't particularly help me in case i draw into Elesh Norn. Its to much risk for not enough reward.

i dont see how Auriok Champion helps vs twin... doesnt it just turn into a fog/timewalk?
they combo... you get a million life... they swing back for a million life.. and then you die the following turn...
plz explain
--also not a big fan of the triple white in Spectral Procession

Dirt3pz They'll have a million damage. But i'll have a million and 20 life which they can't deal to me. And Spectral Procession is one of the best token makers we have. It's 3 mana for 3 1/1 flyers. And Its whenever any creature enters the battlefield so if they combo again the next turn i still live
September 27, 2015 12:50 p.m.
ok... so i was right... it gives you an xstra turn... why would they combo again? they just need to swing for the win...
i dont think thats worth it,... but hey, your call...
there is nothing wrong with Spectral Procession i just like Timely Reinforcements or lingering souls better
September 28, 2015 7:25 a.m.
Auriok Champion makes it impossible to lose to the combo alone, from exarxh at least. Say you're at 20 life. They combo out, make a million dudes and attack you. 20+1,000,000-1,000,000 ends up right back at 20.
September 28, 2015 8:24 a.m. Edited.
Dirt3pz they have to combo again because the tokens exile EOT

Blood Artist gives you asynchronous refunds on your Bitterblossom. Altar's Reap is a good card draw engine considering how many creatures you have. (You could also run Skullclamp.) Mine Excavation is questionable but could be used to get Bitterblossom back.
I would love to suggest Ashling's Prerogative, but it's not red ;_;

Timely Reinforcements is too conditional for maindeck. Personally I think that Zealous Persecution can do way more for less than reinforcements.
October 13, 2015 6:49 p.m.
For a blossom deck, Timely Reinforcements is good as a two of.

for your side you could pick rule of law instead of Eidolon of Rhetoric and I would sugjest to keep the go for the throat in the side maybe? 8 kill spell is alot for a deck that just wants to overwhelm the opponent and chump block, you could also lower your discard spells, it's recommended to have 6 of them mixed as you want, maybe add a sorin and another auriok with the changes
October 24, 2015 1:39 p.m.
I3rave I find myself liking Eidolon of Rhetoric over Rule of Law after playtesting the Rule of Law over Eidolon. I can bring it in against burn and it blocks their creatures all day until they use a burn spell on it instead of me. It also stops storm obviously, which they don't have an answer for really. It's also a decent spell against infect because I can block them when able and there's only so big they can pump a creature with one turn. As for the kill spells, with a Bitterblossom build, it becomes a slightly more midrangy kinda deck where you answer their threats, and then swarm them with the tokens that you get. Or atleast that's how I play this and think of it.

Liliana of the Veil x2possibly add a 3rd Sorin, Solemn Visitor
If you want some more ideas try taking a look at my Swarm and Multiply deck. It's a little different than yours but see if it gives you any ideas
