Is there a reason you are neglecting the number one counter spell in standard right now? Haha. I am of course referring to Dissolve . Dissipate is definitely second best...and yes, I realize it blocks delve...but delve is such a minor part of this new meta that very few decks have more than maybe 2-3 delve cards. So the scry is really more helpful in the long run. You have tons of answers...but is your only win con Ashiok and/or the Sphinx?

Dakra Mystic is a really interesting card which I think could fit here nicely as a play-set. Being able to choose pretty much exactly which cards are going to either player is nice in a control deck.

As far as the sideboard, cards like Tormod's Crypt , Phyrexian Revoker , Stain the Mind , are a few Id suggest. +1

No reason really Scytec, i happened to have a playset of Dissipate on my desk while finishing up my list lol... Fixed to include Dissolve in the mainboard. And yes Ashiok/Sphinx are my 2 main win cons... Empty the Pits if the game gos especially long. Never really looked at Dakra Mystic before now... Loving the card, thanks for the suggestions gro0ve. Sideboard will be updated soon. Thanks all, keep the comments coming.

Considering adding 2x Haunted Plate Mail to the main board as another win con in place of 2x Jace's Ingenuity .

Added Erebos, God of the Dead to my sideboard, also moved Haunted Plate Mail to sideboard and moved the Bile Blight back to main. Went 3-1 at FNM as it was but I had to side in Bile Blight in all my matches but one. Lost round 3 to a mana flood in game 3... Part of the game I suppose but the match still felt winnable. Very happy with this deck and how it plays. And Empty the Pits was a homerun, played it at the end of my round one opponent's turn for 13 zombies and swung for the win.

Working on getting a single Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . Good suggestion Hroth, I'm not running Dismal Backwater because I'm already running a playset of Temple of Deceit and I personally don't like to run more than 1 playset of "slow" lands in a 2 color deck and I'd much rather have the scry than the minor lifegain.

AEtherspouts has quite good interaction with Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver :)

Good call Tripplesix, I've been looking for something to replace Phyrexian Revoker in my sideboard... I never seem to have to board it in with the suite of control I run in main. I'll test it out and probably swap in AEtherspouts .

Nice build. I really like the UB shell in this standard. I also think it's pretty splashable with White or Red, but it feels as if straight UB is just more controlling. Have you considered running a singleton Pearl Lake Ancient for late game matchups? It actually almost won me a tournament running UW control last week and really outperformed. I initially thought it to be super janky, but it's actually a pretty solid beater imo.

I actually just picked one up the other day to add to my sideboard for the mirror match, along with an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth for my mainboard. If ancient ends up playing well I'll consider adding it to mainboard. With the current meta at my shop being fast aggro decks, abzan net decks, jeskai tempo decks, and green devotion decks I find myself boarding in AEtherspouts every 3/4 matches so it might also make it's way to mainboard.

I would cut down on the negates to two and put in one distainful stroke and a drown in sorrow in the main. I always find the miesers drown always good against the monored in game one and it will kill lots of elves and other random creatures like heir of the wilds and deathdealers and such. Like the list though

Thanks BlindyGames, I'll consider the single drown in main. Going to playtest it some tonight, if it seems to work well I'll make the swap permanent.
