I appreciate the persistence surrounding Grave Betrayal, but my deck runs well enough without it that it's just always going to be a win-more card in my book.

thats fair enough. I guess if you can produce enough mana your opponents wont have creatures on board. I do love the deck

How about an Undercity Informer though? You can mill yourself to ensure you have what you need, or use it as an alt win con

Haven't I suggested that card to you already? I thought it would be better than Disciple of Griselbrand.

I don't see anywhere that it has been suggestion, but it seems awfully powerful in this deck

It hasn't been suggested here. Him and I speak off this site.

I was actually considering Undercity Informer and forgot all about it. thanks for reminding me.

Just found this gem Soldevi Adnate seems like an option for this one. It's only one sac a turn but it could give you mana to do some nice stuff
August 15, 2015 9:54 p.m.
I had Adnate for a while. One sac a turn proved a bit too restrictive for my taste.

Chains of Mephistopheles is one of my favorite cards of all time. For chainer, I think it's a perfect fit. Sure, it is symmetrical, but since you play reanimator, the discard on extra draws could easily fill your grave with reanimation targets, with Lands (Crucible of Worlds), or with cards that you don't particularly need at the moment (not that you can't get them back with Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed).
It completely shuts down cancerous Simic decks, ruins combo Izzet decks, and it is generally a pain for people to play around if they are not prepared for it. It also fills their graves with tasty creatures.

I could see Crucible. But Chains just seems decadent at that price.

420 proxy the bundle -- if you do get a crucible, might as well get the best mileage by running Death Cloud (also an otherwise excellent card)

Some land suggestions: Volrath's Stronghold, Lake of the Dead, Ancient Tomb / City of Traitors / Temple of the False God, Deserted Temple, Petrified Field, Arcane Lighthouse, Fetchlands (if you can afford them)
Chainer's ability
Land abilities (Deserted Temple, specifically)
Mimic Vat

I'm not big on proxies, or land destruction. Rings of Brighthearth is a very strong possibility though. And my land base could use a bit more utility.
August 16, 2015 1:36 p.m.
Probably not. This deck rarely wins through combat damage.

I feel like you've got the sac power for an Abyssal Gatekeeper but maybe it doesn't fit your build the way you like idk
August 30, 2015 11:58 p.m.
It's not that it doesn't fit. I just prefer the immediacy of Fleshbag Marauder and friends. No sac outlets required, more flexible.

Very true I was thinking another instance of similar effect couldn't hurt but then again you should have plenty of effects to get them where you want them. I'm sorry if you feel like I put in too many suggestions I just like to talk about and improve decks I like. I didn't mention it because I know it had been mentioned before but is there any reason Sangromancer didn't make it in? It seems like a great card for sustainability.
September 1, 2015 3:59 a.m.
I don't mind all the suggestions. And I'm glad you like the deck. The deal with Sangromancer is more or less because I feel the life-gain is sufficient and, due to that, there are more interesting things for that slot. It may replace Dross Harvester in my sideboard though.

I know you've already said you don't like Grave Betrayal but I'm going to re-suggest it because it seems powerful with your ability to recur Fleshbag Marauder and Shadowborn Demon type creatures. Those effects give it a lot of power
