Yeah... game finishing infinite sacrifice loops are not the relevant situation for life gain off of artist and cutthroat. They can be made into combos, but have extreme value outside of finishing the game. Is this just some weird little quirk about your meta? where no one has every heard of grave hate and more than one person are attempting to combo out with blood artist? That definitely is not the case in most games.
Not targeting is the big advantage of zulaport cutthroat over blood artist, but even then, it does suffer the drawback of not triggering off of opponents creatures. Blood artist punishes opponents for token based strategies and for non-infinite graveyard strategies (as well as some infinite). It's more useful for Chainer because Chainer requires a lot of life refills to continue to activate reanimation in the late game. And blood artist provides those refills whenever another BX deck plays the game.
Running both here is the way to go.

sonnet666 runs a Teysa deck with a similar combo. So yeah.

I did run it, but I filled that slot with Solemn Simulacrum. It's the same reasoning for not running Bone Shredder. There were other cards that worked in a similar way that had more immediacy, and the flexibility that comes with not needing another permanent to enable it.

Liliana of the Dark Realms can work well for getting tons of mana and Sorin Markov is just a really decent black planeswalker.

I used to run Liliana, but she's heavily, heavily targeted in my play-group. So she's not really worth the slot anymore. Sorin is there specifically for one on one matches.

Dude, maybe you should just make a "Do-Not-Suggest List" and put everything that's been taken out of the deck. Nearly every suggestion on here since you put this deck up has been something you played with and cut.
No offense VikingBlood, those were good suggestions, it's just they have history, you know?

I was actually considering Corpse Auger. Counters aren't a big thing in my main play group, so Thief will probably be in the sideboard

yeah good call, but definitely a useful ability for when someone builds a brand new superfriends deck

Good to see another Chainer deck kicking around. He is such a toolbox that it baffles me more folks don't know about him. One card I am quite fond of in my own is Disciple of Griselbrand as he just always seems to be a helpful old man

The life gain didn't have very much impact with my play group, so I opted for Undercity Informer to fill the yard a bit faster.
But yeah, Chainer seems to be under-appreciated. I think in terms of straight reanimation, he's the most powerful. Karador, Ghost Chieftain seems to take the top spot for the color access more than anything.

I really like this Chainer deck. I just built Chainer a few weeks ago, and all I have to suggest are some of my favorite cards from my build:
Vesuva and Thespian's Stage. The reason for them is pretty obvious, as they copy Cabal Coffers or an opponent's Gaea's Cradle, etc.. Since you run Urborg, it should be a fairly easy couple of cards to slot in. I know you have Vesuva listed under maybe- but it's so strong I think you'd greatly enjoy using it in a game, lol (it'd also give you something else to fetch with Expedition Map should you have already drawn Coffers).
I may be mistaken, but I don't see any way of dealing with enchantments or artifacts in the deck as it currently stands. I know black is terrible for it, which is why I run Nevinyrral's Disk and Oblivion Stone. Those are basically my only methods of getting around Rest in Peace, Grafdigger's Cage, and the like, when going for the win. Your list is pretty tight, so I don't know where to fit one of these for you to tutor it up when needed, but I figure the weakest of your reanimation spells could go for a card that would destroy the cards that make it impossible to use your reanimation spells, lol.
I don't recall ever seeing Necromancer's Stockpile before- I think I'm going to swap out Vampiric Rites for it at some point in my deck, as that seems like a much stronger card.

I've never blown up your Market because 90% of the time I'm playing Chainer. So there's that.
And I sort of let Doubling Cube slip my mind. What would you suggest taking out?
