This is a good start. I can see you've thought about removal, card draw and win conditions, which is very important.

I can think of four additions that would instantly make this a lot more robust - Sensei's Divining Top , Necropotence , Phyrexian Arena , and Cabal Coffers . Don't worry about the quoted price tags - they're wrong. A lot of the earlier versions of those cards are very cheap. Sensei's Divining Top can be acquired from online stores for about $3 for example.

Now, regarding removal. I would heavily caution you away from things like Bile Blight and Grasp of Darkness and instead favour Victim of Night , Hero's Downfall and other pieces that aren't as conditional. This way you can hit more stuff. Look for cards that just say 'destroy target creature'. Destroying a permanent is better but unfortunately you'd need green or white to get that, so you're very vulnerable to enchantments and artifacts here which could be a massive problem.

Onto creatures. I would removal all of them that do nothing but damage, and look for things that have interesting abilities. Nekrataal , Shriekmaw , Butcher of Malakir , Mortician Beetle are all possibilities here. They'll achieve more than creatures without abilities and give you value. I'm surprised you don't have Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble here.

Finally, a few swaps. Corrupt could be Exsanguinate . Dictate of Erebos could be Grave Pact . Slum Reaper could be Fleshbag Marauder .

Regarding your theme. You've said that this is a black deck that 'loves sacrifice and clearing the board'. In this case I would expect to see a lot of sacrifice and reanimation effects. Sacrifice outlets could include: Blasting Station , Altar of Dementia , Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar . In terms of clearing the board and winning from sacrifices I would expect to see Grave Pact , Blood Artist , Mortician Beetle . Finally in terms of reanimation (because you need to get your creatures back) I would like to see Sheoldred, Whispering One , Reanimate , Animate Dead , Necromancy , Beacon of Unrest (this one is repeatable which makes it super good), Profane Command , Dance of the Dead , Living Death .

Thanks for the list man this is great. I will start to pick up the cheaper cards over time and get to the more pricey ones later on. One of this biggest reasons I want to play mono black besides it being my favorite color is that I do not have the money for fetch lands or fancy dual lands. So this is more my budget. I have not spent a dollar on this deck yet this is all I had laying around. I will try to make the swaps I can right now. Also can you think of a better commander? I was thinking of using Sheoldred, Whispering One but the CMC is high so idk.

would Elixir of Immortality be good here? is gets multiple uses and life gain and shuffles the whole graveyard back in.

I like Erebos as a commander because he lets you draw cards, which is really useful.

I'm not sure about elixir.

I am not to sure about the elixer, In my humble opinion, I feel that if the CMC for Sheoldred, Whispering One is too high, it would be a good choice for one of the 99 cards in the deck. However, you could still use it as a commander and run cards like Nirkana Revenant , Caged Sun , Cabal Coffers , Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Magus of the Coffers as mana doublers in any mono black decks.

I'd consider adding Exquisite Blood . It's great for pulling you into the long game, and helps compensate for erebos's life loss.

I think life gain is essential, you can play spells that drain life to deal damage and gain life in the process like Exsanguinate , Consume Spirit , Drain Life , Sorin's Vengeance , Soul Feast or creatures like Vampire Nighthawk or better yet, Kalastria Highborn . Absorb Vis is another good one to have for its' life drain and basic land cycling. Of course, the best life drain will be Sorin Markov .

Sorin is so nasty in mono black you can get him out so fast with tutors and dark ritual that you can drop someone ot 10 so fast lol I will try to get some of those cards, I am gonna try to do life gain more.

Hi, I have recently added Harvester of Souls , Fleshbag Marauder , Exquisite Blood , Sheoldred, Whispering One , Abhorrent Overlord . Sanguine Bond and Underworld Dreams into my deck and I found that it is able to perform better. Especially Exquisite Blood , Abhorrent Overlord . Sanguine Bond and Underworld Dreams . Maybe you would like to give it a try?

I like the additions. You have some more interesting creatures that appear to do things upon entering - which is very useful.

The new additions looks good. But I would suggest removing card draws like Sign in Blood and Night's Whisper . They are a copy of your commander's ability which can be access easily. With your recent additions,Strionic Resonator may give your deck an additional boost. I have made some changes to my deck as well. Maybe you can give me some pointers?

Phage is cool. I would keep her unless you have something better.

You could also add in Ill-Gotten Gains and Tendrils of Agony . Think turn 4 Ill-Gotten Gains for Dark Ritual , Sol Ring , and Tendrils of Agony . Then spend your last land on Dark Ritual , use one mana to cast Sol Ring , tap Sol Ring to add two mana to your mana to your mana pool, then cast Tendrils of Agony to drain 8 life that your opponent can't gain back and you could turn into cards.

I really don't think that's the approach he's going for here... There's a place for Tendrils of Agony , and this isn't it. Ill-Gotten Gains almost always bites you in the ass in multiplayer anyway. If you are interested in a sacrifice-centric deck, consider gravepact and Butcher of Malakir (Cut Necromantic Thirst for it, way overpriced. If you want more recursion run something like Oversold Cemetery instead.) Crypt Keeper is super jank. Consider running something like Sadistic Hypnotist instead, if you are just looking for something to sacrifice. Speaking of, tokens are a good way to go... Bitterblossom is a pricey card, but is generally useful for making dudes to throw away. Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder is a very budget friendly token enabler, but pricey to cast. Cabal Coffers is pretty good in any mono black deck. Just a few suggestions, good luck :)

I see that you are running Basalt Monolith as a mana ramp, but by itself it is not a very effective accelerant. Since you are playing mono black, Jet Medallion will be a greater ramp or acceleration spell.

Killing Wave to go with that Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

Visara the Dreadful Phyrexian Totem Phyrexian Tower could fit in. Maybe some Tribute to Hunger ? Cruel Edict or Consuming Vapors

Some Sinkhole and Rain of Tears might be helpful.
