There can be no greater cruelty than this.

The deck's name is ripped straight from Mercyful Fate. A black metal band called Dragonlord did an excellent cover of the song this deck shares its name with. Check it out!

The goal of the deck is to quickly and aggressively build an advantage engine while denying access to resources with stax effects that are effectively asymmetrical. This shouldn't play like a hard control deck. The stax pieces and interaction suite exist to be as oppressive as possible without interfering with my gameplan. While this deck is technically in the realm of control, it wants to play very aggressively.

Aside from burn damage, the deck also pretty easily wins with the classic BloodCrank combo.

I love Wheels decks. This was originally a Chaos Wheels deck with a custom Commander, but I decided to consolidate. Plus, this takes care of an itch I've had for a while. People know me for being very competitive and running heavy amounts of interaction, so I'm often targeted first when I'm invited to a pod. It's all in good fun, of course! I like being the primary target, anyway. I built this deck to embody that.
