This deck embodies everything that I think is awesome about mono-black. A strong theme of reanimation for big ETB effects, as well as robbing opponent's graves, is what holds the deck together. This uses cards like Abhorrent Overlord and Malakir Bloodwitch for sacrifices to outlets like Attrition and Spawining Pit (a personal favorite) and reanimating them with cards like Chainer, Dementia Master and Geth, Lord of the Vault.

The other major theme is draining opponents life with things like extort, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Corrupt, then spending that life to draw cards with things like Dark Prophecy and Phyrexian Gargantua. And if I want to do this with Exsanguinate, I have a suite of black-centric mana production a la Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast. This leads me to cards like Mutilate, Lashwrithe, and Syphon Mind, which care about my having lots of swamps.

There are also minor themes of Vampires, Zombies, and Demons, who interact a little but are mostly fully functional in their own right. I would like to be able to support these themes more (especially Vampires), but I don't think I can devote the space in the deck to it.

This deck is still young, and surely has some modifications that can be made to it (check out that huge maybe board). So I appreciate any input on that, as well as any other advise, criticism, enthusiastic remarks, +1's, spontaneous jigs, and anything else along those lines.
