Black Obliteration (Modern MTG Deck)

Mid: Phyrexian Arena helps to draw the right cards, Geralf's Messenger and Phyrexian Obliterator are our big midgame threats to bring the game in our favor. While the Messenger will take 4 lifepoints, Obliterator is the havy critter. 5/5 trample on T4 with the ability to cleanse the board alone.

Finish: Gray Merchant of Asphodel should end the game with a big devotion to . Every land drop before the cast can pump up the devotion with Bloodghast s in the grave.

Sideboard: Ashiok, Dream Render and Extirpate against graveyard casts like a Golgari deck or a blue control deck with Snapcaster Mage and/or Torrential Gearhulk or against delve cards like Logic Knot , Tasigur, the Golden Fang or Gurmag Angler . Extirpate can used to disrupt the complete gameplan with early disruption via Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek .

Damping Sphere against Tron and Storm.

Infernal Reckoning against Tron and Eldrazi.

Dash Hopes for some Black Control. Nobody expects a Black Counter.

Pithing Needle for some Big Threats in any Match up. Most yoused for Enchantments or Planeswalker.

Underworld Dreams can be an include against control or extremly long games.

Found 2 cheap Extirpate and added them to the mainboard. With 8 disruptive spells, we can easily play it hardcore with 2 clueless Extirpates main to disrupt not only the early game and remove keyspells.

Ashiok, Dream Render is the next update and i think its better than the Leyline of the Void and Nihil Spellbomb. Only two Leylines make it harder to get opening hand than 4. Therefore Ashiok has to come in there and exile the grave. Even with Extirpate early gives chances to rage against the grave early.

Underworld Dreams is a try to finish over time in the late game. Maybe against control.

The next cards to get are 2-3 Bloodghast.
