unrealbr: I'm glad to hear you enjoy my build for Our Lord and Savior Yawgdaddy! ;) I haven't gotten around to updating the list for Kaldheim yet, but I'll definitely be adding Rise of the Dread Marn and possibly Tyrite Sanctum. I need to think about whether Varagoth is worth it here, since he's kind of slow and fragile... Draugr Necromancer is a great card but I'm very emphatic about not changing the basics in this list into snow basics soooooo he won't do as much for me as I wish he would... I'd love to hear your thoughts on how the changes work out for you! :)

About how much mileage could we really get out of Rise of the Dread Marn, though? At least in my build, most of the sac fodder comes from tokens, so I don't feel like I'd really get a whole lot of value from it. The effect counts all nontoken creatures that died, not just your own, but if you have enough sac fodder to kill off a whole board of creatures, you probably don't need the extra bodies. If you want the draw Liliana's Standard Bearer would seem like a better option.
Is Tyrite Sanctum really all that useful/necessary? It's kind of a flavor win, but eh, I've found that removal isn't so much of an issue, and even if Yawgmoth does get removed, it's not too hard to bring him back.
I still really like Draugr Necromancer myself, but I understand where you could be coming from. On my end, I just don't want to pay around $20 for basic lands of all things; I'd effectively be paying that much for a card that's less than a dollar.

Any thoughts on Zombie Infestation ? Could work as cheap undying combo enabler

Archon_Bel: I've found Rise of the Dread Marn to be pretty good. It's a good way to rebuild if someone board wipes, and I've killed people with it several times (they board wipe, I cast that, I swing back at them for 20 damage). And I'm already running Liliana's Standard Bearer TOO! Which has proved awesome.
Tyrite Sanctum ... Well, I haven't drawn it yet, so we'll see how it goes. I just adore the flavor, and it's decently good, sue me ;)
Honestly, I should be running Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet in any slot which Draugr Necromancer would fit. So I'll try to fit in Kalitas first, then look back.
Thank you for the thoughts!
OttoFred: I apologize, I don't quite understand. How does Zombie Infestation help with undying combos? Infestation can be cute with Yawgmoth out ("Discard 2 cards, pay a life and draw a new card") but doesn't really serve the combo lines.

Daedalus19876: I've got Tyrite Sanctum out on quite a few games and if left unchecked for even 1 turn, my Yawgmoth becomes an indestructible god. It's a good card imho.

Daedalus19876, what do u think about Cunning Rethoric and Blight Mound from Commander 2021?

This card needs to go into this deck when it comes out! Adventure's in the Forgotten realms set.

Yangus93: Blight Mound is interesting enough. I might try it over Genesis Chamber ? Cunning Rhetoric doesn't overly interest me here (I don't really care about people attacking me), but it might be good in my Teysa deck (see below). Thanks for the comment, sorry it took so long to respond!
budlaorf: I'm not a HUGE fan of her in this deck -- sure, she'll get huge numbers of loyalty counters, but her ult doesn't really do anything for me. Her 0 is not something I want on a 5-drop, and her -3 is outclassed by other token production effects. But she's gonna be awesome in my Teysa superfriends deck! Which you can find here:

Daedalus19876 Assuming you have Zombie Infestation , Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and an undying creature on the field plus either another creature or two cards in hand, you can use your typical undying combo. So while sacrificing your undying creature and using your second sacrifice to remove the +1 counter, you'll draw 2 cards, letting you create another zombie to keep things going. This won't give you any card advantage though, but lets you cycle through your deck anyways or Blood Artist your enemies to death :D So, card draw-wise it's clearly worse than Genesis Chamber , but might get you going earlier

This might be a good card from Modern Horizons 2. With just Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and him out, you get 5 creatures for 6 mana.

budlaorf: Mmm, I'm not super convinced. 6 mana is a LOT, and I generally want my token producers at lower mana costs...

Maybe there's something i'm not seeing with these cards, but if you want to use devotion to gain mana, then why not Nyx Lotus ?

Saltimore: It's just high mana cost, and slow. And people tend to blow it up before it can untap.

- How is bloodchief ascension been working for you? I see it in and out a lot.
- Do you ever cast your commander on T1 with Jewled lotus even if you have no other token producers/payoff for it in the hopes that you will draw (or perhaps tutor for) one?

darkbuff: I just don't have enough consistent Zombies...
Profet93: Bloodchief is pretty great, honestly. It shuts down a lot of infinite combos, and gains a lot of incidental life. Not to mention cracking Mindslicer . But it's not central to the deck's plan, so it sorta goes in and out. I'm actually considering cutting Jeweled Lotus, especially since I haven't bought one yet and I don't want to pay that ridiculous $$$ cost.

What would you replace yawgmoth's will? Budget replacement for at most 20usd.

darkbuff: In mono-black, there ARE no other options in that price range, alas. You can sort of do something similar with Deliver Unto Evil , but it's much less good.
Luckily, Yawgmoth's Will isn't very necessary to this deck. You could cut it for a different card with a completely different purpose and you don't lose much :)

About gravecrawler and not having zombies consistently, this make you need to add pawn kind of cards to make the combo work right? Why not replace those with other functional zombies? Or even corpse connossoir kind that can fetch GC to graveyard Thanks for the Will reply.

I was playing with this deck and it seems like entombs is a little dead weight. What do you search for? And I also almost every tutor get the nest of scarabs first.

Hey, not sure if you're still checking the comments or updating your list but I've been keeping up with the deck as sets have been coming out and I wanted to highlight a few changes I've made which have been pretty effective.
It seems like black is getting a fair amount of support over the last while towards the theme of "play other people's cards" and I decided to lean in on that theme to see how it's been. Most importantly I was determined to add the cards in without losing the core of what the deck does.
Opposition Agent has been useful as many people already know. You might scoop one tutor with it, but until answered it stops all tutoring afterwards.
Dauthi Voidwalker has been great. It acts as a 2nd Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet for eating graveyards and gives the added bonus of being able to play your opponent's cards. Important note is that if you get it out a 2nd time it still sees the previously exiled cards.
Praetor's Grasp I play in a pretty combo heavy environment so this is simply a good combo killer. It has the added personal flavor that the opponent doesnt get to see the card so they sit there stewing all game wondering what it is, only to later discover it was their Thassa's Oracle.
Chaos Wand This was the biggest surprise of them all. On the surface it looks really random and unreliable, but as long as you're knowledgeable of what most decks do I find I know which deck to target in which situation. Got a counter heavy blue deck, they're your target when you most likely want to stop something. Need a removal spell? Hit that player who packs way too much of it in their deck. I was pleasantly surprised at how effective this card was at giving me a solid end of turn mana sink, and to give me some extra reach to deal with artifacts and enchantments.
Lastly, a small change that has been relevant at times, I cut 4 swamps for fetchlands as I found the ability instant speed fetch Witch's Cottage to be a nice surprise for my opponents.

Voitagi: My playgroup, uh, really didn't like this deck. I haven't been updating it for a while because they refused to play against it XD

PS: sorry for marking the suggestions, I only figured out what I did after doing it. 1st time posting.
