So uh, is Aetherflux Reservoir too cute?

minusX I view that card as too janky; although some people are building around it, I wont be lol. I take it as a lightning rod. If someone sees you play that; the chances of a counterspell, or artifact destruction spell are near 100%. Nobody is going to let it live and if we start playing multiples of that card we better be playing blue control to counterspell everything on top of it.

Eh, just in case, I added Aetherflux Reservoir to the maybe pile. If someone wants to reach for it, they very much can, I just expect it to die in seconds. So many infinite combos are making that a lightning rod. As far as protecting assets go; I dont really have a way to do that with the deck. Locking down enemy assets is what I have been shooting for. The Immortal Sun hangs out still to really just lockdown Planeswalkers and assist in later card draw and mana availability. In theory you could swap that for a reservoir but I view planeswalkers as a threat too large to miss.

One of my friend wanted to try out the deck this week at our FNM so I was kind enough to let him borrow it...

He went 2-0, but had to leave before the 3rd round because he wasn't feeling so good.

He won 2-0 vs Orzhov Vampires and 2-1 vs Izzet Historic & Wizards.

He played next to me the 2 times and stated multiple times that the deck was running pretty smoothly and seemed to have every answer it needed!

Game 3 vs Izzet, he got to play Lost Legacy and named River's Rebuke, but it got countered. He went for Gideon's Intervention but it also got countered. But on the 2nd Lost Legacy he nailed both copies from his opponent's library. 'Nuff said!
