I went into the Bloomburrow prerelease hoping to make a Golgari squirrel deck, and got half my wish. I ended up in black-green due to a pretty deep card pool in those colors, good removal, and a couple nice bombs (Innkeeper's Talent and Rottenmouth Viper), but had very few squirrels and even less that played into their forage strategy. So this deck is kind of a pile of cards pulled from different archetypes, but it actually did super well. I went 3-0 overall, only losing one game in my final match.

Innkeeper's Talent did a ton of work in this deck; it can seem subtle, but getting counters turn after turn can really add up, and the Ward is a nice bonus. I only drew Rottenmouth Viper once, but it won me a game when I did. It turns out--and I didn't realize this until it was about to happen--that Innkeeper's Talent's third level doubles all kinds of counters you add, including the Viper's blight counters. So, the first time I attacked with it, it jumped from one to three and gave my opponent some very difficult choices.

Other than that, it was mostly just efficient creatures (Scrapshooter is only three mana!) and well-timed removal. There were enough frogs here to get Polliwallop down to 2 mana occasionally, but even at full price it wasn't bad. I'm still missing my squirrels, but this was a very nice deck!
