I'm a little nervous about the lack of ramp, considering how expensive everything is. Birds of Paradise an easy add. If you can pick up the new Flooded Strand and Windswept Heath printings, you could probably justify Arbor Elf. Avacyn's Pilgrim is also good enough. Mox Diamond would be neat if that isn't out of your price range.

My Jenara Tiny Leaders deck is very different, so I'm not sure I can give many suggestions from there.

Feel free to link it bud I am far from set on the list so like I said suggestions are welcomed and encouraged.

Ramp.....yeah I do think it would greatly speed up the issue of proper land distribution but the problem is what to sacrifice for it.

I could include cards like Noble Hierarch or Birds of Paradise but what would you suggest for swaps?

Rampant Growth, Farseek, Kodama's Reach and Cultivate are all fantastic ramp spells I have puzzled about but not sure yet where to include them I could possibly go Land Tax as well staying to enchantment theme but again I like the cards I have in here but they aren't glued to the list so I am welcoming any and all substitutions

I'd go with 1 mana creature ramp. It gives you more targets for your enchantments. Also, I think you really want to be playing an Aura target on turn 2 and either an Aura target or an Aura on turn 3. That doesn't leave much time for the more expensive ramp spells.

Here's my deck: Jenara, Asura of War

I'll think about cuts later when I have more time.

Thank you for taking the time to share I'm looking forward to the assessment

It looks like you got the swaps for Birds of Paradise and Noble Hierarch taken care of. That might be enough. If you wanted to add Avacyn's Pilgrim, you could cut one of the weaker enchantments or creatures (maybe Aqueous Form or Archetype of Courage).

One direction you might want to go next is looking to improve your creature base. True-Name Nemesis would be a pretty durable target for your enchantments. Slippery Bogle is a really fast play.

If you had more green creatures to target, Green Sun's Zenith and Dryad Arbor would be great adds.

Isn't Kira, Great Glass-Spinner in your maybeboard counterproductive if you're planning on targeting your creatures a lot?

Thanks for your feedback,

I agree with you 100% on Kira, Great Glass-Spinner being counter productive to the strategy i am applying here.

Thanks again for all the fantastic suggestions for the deck Destrian, some of them were helpful others, i just don't wish to include due to the unfun nature of their mechanics namely (no pun intended) True-Name Nemesis.

I found your deck to be quite different from mine but offered another insight to how bant is played and i thank you for that!

The playgroup i am currently in is a fun group of guys not really looking to be too competitive. There is a couple stronger players that are in our group who are also professing to add to the list of suggested cards.

It's funny that you built her for tiny commander. I built her as all but I went enchantress with her using her as a backup plan. Elephant Grass is spiffy as well as Solitary Confinement and Luminarch Ascension. Blessing of the Nephilim is pretty fun with her too. Serra's Sanctum with your enchantment count can pump jenara up super fast too.

Well I did want to build her as an all out commander which I still might do.

I have a bant commander deck using Derevi, Empyrial Tactician as the commander it's a lot of fun.

Thanks for all your suggestions Deckologist.

Another thing Deckologist;

You are suggesting some fantastic pillow-forting enchantments and I think that's overall how I would enjoy dealing with over aggressive or faster decks tactics.

What would you remove for these things?

April 24, 2015 2:38 p.m.

Destrian says... #12

Here are a few removal suggestions:

Council's Judgment (strongly recommended)

Cyclonic Rift

Bant Charm (from maybe to main)

Mental Misstep

Qasali Pridemage

Reclamation Sage

Green Sun's Zenith (with above)

Arbor Elf might be better than Avacyn's Pilgrim with your mana base, by the way. It definitely is with duals, but I think your fetch/shock selection is probably good enough.

thanks for the suggestions Destrian,

I have tried Arbor Elf in the list and really am not impressed with how he interacts insideThe deck I feel like I have enough green mana sources and only really one GG cost on any of my cards. The multiple WW cost is a cause for concern hence why I have chosen to go with Avacyn's Pilgrim and have been happy with the results so far so, maybe Arbor Elf if I decide to possibly use more stompy hydras ie Primordial Hydra or other green based spells.

Reclamation Sage... I have always liked this particular creature but really am quite happy with my three drop creatures tbh if I chose to replace a 3 drop I think I might be happier with recursion ie Eternal Witness. I have access to surplus cards from my playgroup (so generous they are) so he will be experimented with.

I do see where Green Sun's Zenith would be very useful to consider if someone tucks my commander or just to pull up any of the cards I need it's a great tutor. I will talk with my playgroup about that one too

I like all of the removal suggestions for the deck and will be experimenting with them also but as of now I am taking considerations and adding them to my surplus suggestion cards that my friends have (and they have all of your suggestions Destrian as well as yours Deckologist) to test them over the next few months.

This deck would not have come anywhere close to being something I wanted if it wasn't for players like you two and the other nameless 800+ people who have checked out the list but decided to remain uncommunicative so I thank each and every one of you for the time you have spent.

Check in regularly to see if you like anything else I have done with the list or care to add more suggestions to the already 65+ surplus cards I intend to try in the list.

No problem. The one thing I want to clarify is that you can use Arbor Elf to untap your Temple Garden or Breeding Pool so that you can make WW or UU. That's why it's one of the best mana dorks in Tiny Leaders. As long as you feel you can fetch out your Temple Garden reliably, it is better than Avacyn's Pilgrim. If you don't feel that you can do that, then Avacyn's Pilgrim is the safer bet.

Dokujin says... #15

Is that right?,

I'll give the elf another shot I didn't know about how it effects the dual lands as well and of course that would make him better. I am totally thinking it makes better sense now because of that addition of knowledge I had not known prior to the last tests Destrian.

You need help with sideboard?

A few things I use for my sideboard in EDH are Carpet of Flowers, Reap, Melira, Sylvok Outcast, and Rest in Peace. Hope that helps.

Interesting. I like those suggestions MetalDivinity I shall try them in the tests coming up and thanks again for taking an interest

I'm a strong supporter of color hosing in sideboards for Tiny Leaders.

Chill

Blue Elemental Blast

Hydroblast

Great Sable Stag

Mirran Crusader

Auriok Champion

Any swords

Some other goodies:

Condemn

Disrupt

There are more good ones, I'm sure, but I'm having trouble thinking them up at the moment.

Dokujin says... #19

Huge help Destrian I didn't think about those options. Great creature suggestions too I was wondering how to possibly get Mirran Crusader in there. But I find most people have been choosing True-Name Nemesis as a selection for protection creatures.

I did some testing with that annoying little merfolk rouge and I can not dispute it's power and am now even considering him for the list.

True-Name Nemesis is maindeck protection. You could sideboard the card, but I can't imagine a matchup where you wouldn't board it in.

I did recommend True-Name Nemesis for you a while back, so I didn't mention it again. :)

I have had a few people suggest him including yourself Destrian so I figured I would try him out even though he seems like a cheater.

If I did put him in I agree he is definitely main board material. Been considering trying a build including the pillowforting enchantments (Ghostly Prison and Propaganda) I have on the sideboard to see how they function.

If I don't get the results I want out of those cards in the build I test them with I will be deleting them and adding a few of the other suggestions people have been putting out.
