Kolaghan's Command could be rather good in this deck. Works very well against affinity and can help you get dead creatures back.

Thank you Mogis_Mtg for the suggestion, It is one of the card I want the most to acquire in the deck :) I did add 1 duress and 1 dismember for the replacement meanwhile !

negativeoxide The mardu competitive deck comparision would be Jund / Junk.. Besides that, mardu deck in competitive modern play is inexistant :/

My Spicy Nacho Warriors! is built with standard in mind but it has destroyed a lot of competitive decks, most notably gruul aggro (with goblin guide leading the way) and red deck wins. A lot of the cards in it can also be substituted for a more modern flair. Such as removing Murderous Cut for Terminate and Valorous Stance for Lightning Bolt. I don't have any FNM in my area unfortunately but I have beaten decks that routinely take first at the FNM events in the city over. Hope this helps give you ideas.

i suggest using Sorin, Lord of Innistrad he is better in general he pluses for a token and minuses for a permanent +1/+0

Dude, Pack Rat f*ing wins games, and pairs up really nicely with arena. I run rats with d. confidant, but i understand budget constraints. He's a bit like goyf, in that you dont really want to play him on curve turn two, he shines with five mana and another (unneeded) card in hand. That may sound reall y conditional, but how often do you find yourself late game with two or three lands in hand you havent played to bluff having removal? Top deck a rat, either discard to make another rat end of his turn and swing for 6 (third rat created after swinging) or make another rat in response to removal and watch them scramble to keep the rats in check. Without a sweeper theyre really resilient, or Bile Blight but who plays that in modern?

Sorry for the wall of text and unabashed gushing on a card, but test him out and see for yourself. Also, being like $2 should fit nicely around your wallet.

Twanicus Will test RN, thank you big boyyyy

chessdude13 I prefer Visitor since the lifelink helps me stay up on my HP since i'm burning myself a lot with lands and stuff

For control (this might be a stretch) but Mogis, God of Slaughter might be viable. It's a 4 drop but it's good paining or board control. Not to mention it's indestructible and if you can manage to make it a creature then you have a good attacker/blocker. Maybe get rid of the Angler (increases the price but is great extra removal).

Isn't it better to have a +1/lifelink for 2 turns then a -2 who gives a permanent +1 ?

Yeah, scratch what I said. I regretted posting it after I sent it. :P

Can this at least do well at an FNM? Because I'd never go to a GP. Not that kind of person.

It would ! Just need to find a way to make the deck more consistent :3

Ok! After deciding on many decks to build in paper, yours strikes me as the most interesting. I think I'll build this in paper, bring this to FNM, then report back with data. Granted, my local meta is different than yours, so the sideboard will depend. Thank you for the amazing deck, and your contributions to the Mardu! :D

I am confused to the purpose of Faithless Looting. If you ran Murderous Cut / Gurmag Angler / [insert: flashback card here], then it would make sense but Faithless Looting is card disadvantage at its peak.

Why did you not choose to run Falkenrath Aristocrat? Not only does it come with mana synergies, it gains indestructible and deals the same amount of damage that your Butcher of the Horde will deal when you sacrifice the Doomed Traveler to it. If you insist on keeping butcher, don't add the aristocrat though I feel that it will be better than the butcher because of the indestructibility.

Do you have an idea of a card i could use for draw power for replacement of Faithless Looting ?

I could run both butcher and aristocrat ?
