This is way too slow for legacy. The deck below could cream you before you even got your first turn...

That has to be one of the most awful and shameless deck plugs I've EVER seen on this site. Congratulations I guess?

There is no such thing as bad publicity. Just bad people

Make an update and clear comments if you want to remove the guy's plug.

i like the idea behind this deck a lot! i run one very similar occasionally at my local store. would it make more sense to run 12-post as opposed to urza lands for legacy though? (Cloudpost and Glimmerpost with Vesuva)

Urza is faster turn three, that's when this deck generally wins. I have tried 12 post but it didn't work as fast

Legacy is a style that allows players to choose from all sets, from alpha up to the most recent. There are restrictions but it's far more open then standard or modern

vintage is legacy with some of the banned cards restricted to 1 per deck

i mean.. turn 1: Cloudpost. Turn 2: Vesuva or second Cloudpost, and play a two drop with untapped land. turn 3: Glimmerpost and you can then make 7 mana. and Vesuva helps early in the game with these lands whereas it doesn't help the urza lands in early game.. what do you think? perhaps running additional land search cards makes urza better?

im gonna shamelessly put in my version of this, everything hardcastable by turn 2, emrakul hardcastable by turn3, not considering cheat-ins.

i still would not reccomend this in legacy. i played it for a while and it did well but more conservative decks are usually faster.

Your plug isn't shameless. Your deck is awesome. I tried running both urza and 12 post but they seemed to get in each others way. If I ever do that again I'll have to go with 3 Sensei's Divining Top I can hard cast Blightsteel Colossus turn 2, swinging. But the deadliest turn I have is turn 1 chalice. It's not always about big nasties super early

Yeah Thats pretty sick! Bet they hate turn 1 chalice when they start on the draw. Turn 2 swinging blightsteel is the scarier one for me personally... we dont have 1.5 in munich anymore (or im unaware) :/
Should have added that it was 18 post without tron when i played it and my favourite win con was a turn 3 marit lage, now its a oh-look-at-that-timmy-deck for my lgs monday entry level constructed tournies. Makes new ppl buy/trade eldrazi titans but is not unbeatable. I didnt mean to recommend mixing post and tron for legacy
July 7, 2015 12:46 p.m.
What's 1.5? I don't know what a Marit Lage. I also don't know what a Timmy deck or lgs means. I'm clearly not in the know with lingo

You sir are going way more hardcore than I with my own deck. I need way more practice with it.

I'm gonna have to agree that the 12 Post mana base is infinitely more times better than Tron in Legacy.
August 23, 2015 2:05 p.m.
It won't help with speed, but Buried Ruin could be considered in case you lose something good.

Hey wanna know an infinite mana combo for this deck? If you have 3 artifacts in your hand and you have Metalworker out, you can tap him for six mana. Also, if you have a Staff of Domination, you can get the combo to activate by doing this: Tap Metalworker for six colorless. Use three colorless mana in that pool and tap Staff of Domination to untap Metalworker. Next, tap Metalworker again for another six colorless mana, so now you have nine colorless mana. Use one of that colorless mana to untap Staff of Domination. Now you have eight mana and Metalworker is untapped so you can tap him for another six colorless mana. You can keep doing this over and over again until you have infinite colorless mana. Also, you can draw infinite cards with Staff of Domination. This deck is definitely awesome! +1!

Indeed sir, that is why I am running two staffs. I've won a few games with the Infinite draw, mana and life combo.

Love to see the Tron lands get played. Have you thought about trinisphere or ensaring bridge. They provide protection early and can be sacked with forgemasters later. I am also a huge fan of loadstone golem, and sphere of resistance. I think any combination of the above can help you out greatly against combo and the super aggressive decks.

I had some fun making something similar back in the day, how about Mirrorworks to make token/copies?
