Sorcery (2)

I feel this deck may be well positioned currently, but may need some tweaks.

The point of this deck is the rip apart my opponents hand preventing them from playing anything. Through splashing red I gain access to some additional spells, such as Lightning Bolt,Terminate, Kolaghan's Command, and Blightning.

This is an 8-rack deck that tries to end the game quick with cards like Lightning Bolt and Blightning. Additionally, it plays Liliana's Caress with The Rack and Shrieking Affliction, which ideally could speed the game up slightly quicker. I may cut the Liliana's Caress if it seems the discard is to slow, putting back in either Thoughtseize or an Inquisition of Kozilek.

The deck has the possibility of two discard engines with Liliana of the Veil and Rix Maadi, Dungeon Palace .

Discard: Kolaghan's CommandSmallpox Blackmail Raven's Crime Thoughtseize Inquisition of KozilekWrench Mind and Blightning and Liliana of the veil. I have a wide assortment of discard because ultimately I want to rip apart their hand as quickly and efficiently as possible. Ideally I'd like to see an Inquisition of Kozilek or Thoughtseize on turn one, but Raven's Crime is an acceptable play, and then a Wrench Mind on turn two. On turn three I hope to put down a Liliana of the Veil to start a discard engine or take care of pesky creature or play a Blightning. Finally I'd like to have the capability of casting Remorseless Punishment later in the game to make up ground if my discard came to stall or I missed seeing The Rack or Shrieking Affliction. Smallpox is there to maintain pressure on my opponent and force them to chose what's most important to them and maintain another option for making my opponent discard.

Protection: Ensnaring Bridge is there to ensure I don't get overwhelmed by my opponents creatures if they're playing creature heavy decks. I would ideally play these after I rip my opponents hand apart or if I think they are likely to land on turn three.

Win Condition: The main win condition is of course The Rack and Shrieking Affliction. This can be sped up with Lightning Bolt, Blightning and possibly a Remorseless Punishment as a closer.

Sideboard:

2x Damnation for creature heavy decks and affinity.

2x Smash to Smithereens is also brought in for affinity or other decks that rely on a lot of artifacts.

1x Pithing Needle is useful against planeswalkers and other pesky cards.

4x Leyline of Sanctity is brought in against burn.

2x Leyline of the Void is just a great graveyard hate piece that can be played against decks that rely on graveyard mechanics.

3x Fulminator Mage is brought in against decks that have several manlands that are fairly threatening such as Inkmoth Nexus

1x Kolaghan's Command I like this card a lot because it is an instant, but I feel that Blightning has a more solid place in the main deck than this. I will play this against decks that utilize artifacts frequently.

Updates Add

After playing Faeries off and on for the past several months I am coming back to my 8rack deck. I have made a few changes, most notably I am playing Blightning and a full set of Ensnaring Bridge. I hope the speed and consistently with this new build provides for some competitive and enjoyable game experiences. I played this with a similar build already, with one copy of Blightning and 2x Blood Moon, because I had only one copy of Blightning at the time. I made some tweaks and got a couple more copies of Blightning and another Ensnaring Bridge through trades. I will be playing this deck at my LGS's next modern event and will post results for it later.
