With the release of MH2 a couple of cards I expected to be popular in D&T were, Esper Sentinel and Kaldra to be specific. However, I soon realized that people weren't running the new sword: Sword of Hearth and Home . I, personally, think this is a major boon due to it's power in a mirror match and synergy with the strong ETBs that certain D&T staples have, such as Stoneforge and Skyclave Apparition. It also allows you to ramp, which while it's a minor thing does thin your deck for more gas.

So, with that being said here is my take on D&T using Hearth and Home. The deck uses ETB synergies and also a card seeing lots of use with Grief, Ephemerate . You may be noticing the fact we aren't running a common core piece, Aether Vial . This is for two reasons, the more minor of the two is that a full playset of Vial is stupid expensive. The second is that I'd rather be playing Esper Sentinel on turn one rather than Vial, but that's just me. My sideboard reasonings are simple. Sanctifier en-Vec is for reanimator and jund, and Auriok Champion is for aggro. Path to Exile is if we need more removal, and the rest is just hate one can run depending on the match-up.

Feel free to swap around cards in main and sideboard, such as changing out a Flickerwisp for an Esper Sentinel, or changing out your sideboard strategies.
