"Exile your own stuff to abuse ETB effects" has been a staple deck concept for at LEAST a decade, but it somehow still feels sneaky and unique. Here's the Human tribal version, with a Spirit tribal version to come.

Most of it is straightforward, but to those of you who aren't aware of how to exploit Fiend Hunter using "The Stack", here's the quick and dirty explanation: Fiend Hunter is cast> when it enters and attempts to resolve its first ability, respond with Cloudshift or Ephemerate> Exile Fiend Hunter before choosing a creature to exile with it> Fiend Hunter attempts to return a creature you haven't exiled yet to the battlefield> Fiend hunter returns to the battlefield and attempts to resolve its first ability for the second time (this creature will return if Fiend Hunter is removed from the battlefield)> Fiend Hunter's first attempt at resolving its first ability resolves, but since the second ability pertaining to this creature has already resolved, the exiled card can't return. Tl;dr Fiend Hunter> Cloudshift/Ephemerate> Exile a creature that may return later> Exile a creature that won't.

I'm pretty happy with where this deck's at, but I'm always open to suggestions and questions!

This deck is part of a pod collection I'm working on for cheap, unique decks to teach my friends to play. Check out the others too!
