Hey, I think your combo with Strionic Resonator doesn't work or mabye I just don't see it.

The people in my play group focus mostly on 1 vs 1, so I'm not an expert on multyplayer games, but I hope I can help you a bit.

Mana Base: I really hate Artifact Lands. Everybody plays a lot of Artifact hate to counter Sol Ring or other fast mana, so you really don't want to give them more targets. Mabye you are fine, but here you would get punished by every Vandalblast and co.

Rogue's Passage is also an other card, which I really don't get, why so much player play it. Isn't flying enought? You also have bad synergy with Tsabo's Web.

I really like Tsabo's Web, Static Orb and you mana denial plan. You also can add Tangle Wire or Rishadan Footpad.

Brago, King Eternal is a really cool commander. I hope you have a lot of fun with him.

You attack with Brago. Damage goes through. Trigger. In response, tap Sol Ring to activate Strionic Resonator to add a copy of Brago's trigger on the stack. The copy goes off since it's on top. Bounce the Ring and the Res. Original Brago ability is on the stack. Tap the now untapped Ring to activate the now untapped res to add another copy. Repeat. :P

Artifact mana is just there because i can fetch it in a pinch. Doesn't really bother me.

Rogue's Passage is there in case THEY have flying. lol And could you explain the poor synergy with Tsabo's Web? I bounce it to draw a card and it costs 2. Most of my lands are for mana so, it doesn't bother me.

I opted to add Rishadan Brigand over the footpad. Only costs one more. lol Tangle Wire sounds nice though.

Thanks for the suggestions! (: I've won many a game with him. lol Give a +1 if you like!

Heads up - neither Oblivion Ring or Detention Sphere exile cards permanently. Once you blink the enchantment out, the exiled cards return under their owners' control, unless I'm missing something.

Act of Authority (which you already have) works for artifacts & enchantments, and Exclusion Ritual works for anything (but has a higher CMC).

Yeah, they do. lol I cant explain it as well as someone else may be able to. xD But, basically, the triggers happen separately. There's an ETB and LTB. Brago blinks them, meaning they leave and enter in one move. You choose the order since they happen at the same time. Then you abuse the stack. xP

That's basically what separates Banishing Light from Oblivion Ring.

I see... sorta. It seems to me that Brago's pretty clear that it leaves, then enters (sounds like 2 moves to me from reading the card). That's pretty complicated - if you tried it at my casual playgroup, I think we would exile you just on principle, especially if you couldn't explain the technicalities really well. You might want to include a little more explanation of that part in the description. Thanks for taking time to clear it up for me.

Two paragraphs mean two separate triggers. 1 paragraph means 1 trigger. Make sense now? xD My play group TOLD me about it so, I don't need to explain.

Technically this is incorrect. You can abuse o-ring with blink effects, but only if those effects happen in response to Oblivion Ring entering the battlefield. Fiend Hunter works in a similar way. Basically this works because o-rings abilities are separate. You cast oblivion ring, and it's ETB goes on the stack. You then respond to the o-ring ETB by getting rid of it someway (exile, blink, sacrifice, destroy, etc.) Then Oblivion Ring's LTB will go onto the stack ON TOP of it's ETB. stack resolves, returning the nonland permanent (which is still on the battlefield) to the battlefield, which effectively does nothing. Then the exile trigger resolves, permanently exiling the ... err ... permanent. Unfortunately, brago's ability cant respond to anything, since it happens at a set time. If somehow you could cast Oblivion Ring as though it had flash AND if you could activate Strionic Resonator, copying brago's ability in response to said o-ring's ETB, THEN you could get the extra value. But at that point I'd rather just play Mangara of Corondor or something else that permanently exiles.

donatedwarrior9 did explain it very good. You have to respond to the ETB of the Oblivion Ring, but if you blink it with the trigger of Brago, King Eternal, you can't blink it again with the Strionic Resonator, because the Bargo trigger isn't on the stack anymore.

There are workarounds with cards like Venser, Shaper Savant. You blink both Venser, Shaper Savant and your Oblivion Ring with Bargo, than both enter the battlefield at the same time and now you can choose the order of the ETBs. You order should be 1. Oblivion Ring than 2. Venser, Shaper Savant, when now it resolve you return your Oblivion Ring to your hand and than remove the pernament, which should be never coming back.

Brago, King Eternal + Strionic Resonator works with cards like Mangara of Corondor or Parallax Wave and Parallax Tide.

There ya go. lol

All I can say is it works. I've done it in front of a judge at FNM before. I'm not bs-ing you guys. :P You're copying the ability and adding it onto the stack, creating an infinite stack. You choose what happens first, ETB or LTB since the abilities are separate triggers on O-Ring, Fiend Hunter, etc. When it all resolves, things go bye-bye.

Now I see what I missed. You also exiling Strionic Resonator and using it again. Today I learned something new. Thank you.

I said that before. xD You're welcome though! Glad I could "clear" that up. x)

Why does nobody understand what Orim's Chant is? I'm serious. Over half the white decks I see play Silence (which is a half-assed attempt at security btw) without chant. While I'm on instants, I hear Path to Exile is still a good card.

Your deck is pretty good for 1g. I would recommend reducing your mana curve - it will clear up lots of issues and more importantly it's the key to success.

+1 for Cloudform, omg the synergy!

P.S.: Since you're considering Glen Elendra Archmage; I've been told from a friend who plays competitive Ruhan of the Fomori that it's the best purchase he's ever made.

P.P.S.: Too bad you can't flicker Gilded Drake, that blows!

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Orim's Chant is nice, but I prefer Silence because it stops everyone from playing spells. As for Path to Exile, I just don't like letting my opponents get land. I have lots of other ways to deal with creatures. lol

I don't tend to get mana screwed often so the mana curve isn't much of a problem to me. Could always just swap Rishadan Brigand for one of the cheaper versions if needed for instance.

Cloudform is my baby in this deck. <3 lol

Glen Elendra Archmage will one day replace a counter spell. x) Just need to get one. And even though I cant flicker Gilded Drake, he still nets me a creature I want and combos beautifully with Sower of Temptation. :D

Many thanks! (:

Tangle Wire has been a house in my deck, can't recommend it enough in a brago build like this.

I'm so intent on adding it, but I just don't know what to drop for it. xD Unwinding Clock maybe?

iamnickhansen says... #25

Yeah, I think you could do that. It seems like your list is like mine and doesn't have a ton to do on other players turns, with the exception of counterspells.
