Phyrexian Metamorph is a great utility card, and it goes infinite with Leonin Relic-Warder.

I'd look at Clever Impersonator, Wingmate Roc and Archaeomancer as potential cards to cut.

Clever Impersonator actually replaced Phyrexian Metamorph, but it is a great card. How exactly does it go infinite with Leonin Relic-Warder? :O

As for your cut suggestions, I'd rather not cut Clever Impersonator. It's a great card that can let me copy my opponents planeswalkers and abuse them with Brago. Wingmate Roc is iffy. I enjoy the lifegain and flying tokens. Great response to my plagroups dragon decks. An army of flyers is definitely not a bad thing. Archaeomancer allows me to make Time Warp a wincon. It's also just great to grab back a counter or Silence.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and please +1 if you like! (:

Metamorph copies the Relic-Warder, the etb ability of the RW goes on the stack targeting itself (still an artifact.) it leaves the battlefield, it's LTB ability goes on the stack. It comes back. Rinse and repeat. I use the combo with Altar of the Brood to mill an entire table out. It's fun.

Hmm. Interesting. Never thought about it like that. I'll have to make some room then.

Love blink and this deck takes the cake in it! +1

I know how detailed descriptions can go unappreciated so my hat's off to you. The detail and describing of interactions with the stack are great. I still haven't quite mastered understanding the stack so this really helped me understand it in regards to Brago.

My only suggestion I can think of would be Mystic Remora since you can reset its cumulative upkeep.

Played Brago against well made Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge and Tasigur, the Golden Fang decks both of which had much higher budgets than I lol. They saved their removal and counters largely for me so I couldn't get Brago online. The experience has me wanting to include more protection and counters. Though it didn't help that I had to Mulligan a few times only to get mana screwed for the first few turns. Still got several mana rocks online but no Brago triggers.

@Pal00ka- Thanks much for the upvote and MANY thanks for the appreciation! (: As for Mystic Remora, I've had my eye on it for awhile. Just not a huge fan of cumulative upkeep cards. :/ It's function is to give me more draw power and I have a lot of that. :P

@Flagellum- Sounds like you had a rough time. :/ I normally don't have situations like that. Since Brago is my deck's main function, I normally save my counters for anything that would want to take him out. Worse come to worse, he gets destroyed and I can bring him right back next turn. I feel you though. I want to run like, all the counters. xD

They were well aware of Brago shenanigans it would seem lol. I failed to get the early lockdown that I needed and they had removal/counters/bounce (and God knows what else was in that Jeleva deck lol) handy to prevent me from establishing it later on. Going to have to rethink some card choices, but that's the point! :p

Play on! xD Playtest everything! Haha!

The cumulative upkeep on mystic remora does not matter. cumulative upkeep says: "At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay [cost] for each age counter on it. If you don't, sacrifice it." Once you blink it, the age counters will fall off.

It does matter though. lol I have to pay 1 every turn for it. :P In other words, I need Brago out to reset it or else it falls off. That's why I'm shy about adding it.

So I'm currently building a Brago EDH deck and I'm curious as to how the Cloudform/Lightform combo works. So manifested cards just automatically turn face up after the aura leaves the battlefield? And if this is the case then only permanents would stay on the battlefield right? Instants and sorceries would go to your graveyard?

KCisSICKnasty says... #13

You blink Cloudform and the manifested creature it's attached to. The manifested card returns to the battlefield face up and then Cloudform re-enters as a non-aura enchantment.

Instants and sorceries aren't permanents, and the rule is that if they would enter the battlefield as a permanent, they return to the place they were before. In this case, they remain in exile. :/ lol

Thanks for the upvote!

Ahh now I understand. Thanks a lot for the quick response. And the upvote is well deserved this deck is totally badass.

Treachery is an insanely powerful enchantment here. Also Nevermaker just locks your opponent out of the game unless they can draw more than one cardd a turn. Besides that clones like Phyrexian Metamorph and Sakashima the Impostor (who can copy brago for double the fun!) would do well here. Lastly, Duplicant can be pretty busted in brago decks. +1

Thanks for the suggestions, but you actually didn't +1. :P

Any suggestions on what to drop?

@punkrawkmonkey: Thank you so much! (: This deck is my pride and joy so, it means a lot!

For the cards I suggested I would consider cutting Lightform + Cloudform because they have a decent chance of manifesting a non creature spell. Rishadan Brigand because they need to be tapped out to make him very effective. Also I would probably cut Tsabo's Web because the only use I see here is dealing with the occasional Maze of Ith. Hope that helps!

KCisSICKnasty says... #19

I couldn't bring myself to drop any of those. The chance is actually very low that I would manifest a non-creature spell. Rishadan Brigand is a powerhouse in this deck. Tsabo's Web also lets me draw cards which is what makes it great. :/

Riftwing Cloudskate, Rishadan Footpad and Ghostly Flicker are some cards the Brago deck in my playgroup makes use of. You might want to try them out.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Riftwing Cloudskate and Rishadan Footpad are great, but I run the better versions of them already (Venser, Shaper Savant and Rishadan Brigand). Adding them in would just give me more of what they do. Which is cool and all, but I like to spread my options out. :P

I'm going to pass on Ghostly Flicker. Don't need more blink. It's also one time only unless Archaeomancer is out or I add more recursion.

Please +1 if you like though! (:

Appreciate the suggestions, but I'm not looking for more blink. Deadeye Navigator was in here before but now that tucking isn't a thing, he was useless. Glimmerpoint Stag is also just underwhelming to me.

Thanks for the upvote! :D
