Ryotenchi, here it is! I'll be able to get my vials, so the rest has been budgeted AF. x)

6tennis, Scorprix, klone13, FAMOUSWATERMELON, hateindigital and even CanadianShinobi here's the list I'll be probably running in MKM European series in Toulouse one month from now... And your thoughts about it would be greatly appreciated!

Note: exepted for the Vials, it has to be somehow budget, that's why I'm keeping it monocolored and why I'm running Aven Riftwatcher instead of Kitchen Finks for exemple. x')

Check out my modern budget Hatebears deck. You might find something you like!

I like it, but we're following different paths... If I saw it earlier, I might have chosen to go Selesnya tho. Thanks man, I'll definitively use some of the things you've got there. ;)

I think you've listed the wrong akroma I like this and will give it some reflection and testing now I'll attempt to keep my suggestions budget.

Mainboard looks good. Im not sure what I could suggest.

Aven Riftwatcher is your budget Kitchen Finks right?

I like the mainboard Eidolon. :3

Sideboard possibilities?

1-2 Dismember wouldn't hurt. Theyre hard to run in my deck due to shocks and my meta is nothing but hyper fast aggro..

Hushwing Gryff only if yeh need Torpor Orb on a stick. :3

2ish Mirran Crusader for junk and anything relevant..

Looks like yeh wont need Celestial Purge that bad.

Ive seen a few Baneslayer Angel running around in peoples side, I would assume to have a fatty like Siege Rhino or Tasigur, the Golden Fang.. but otherwise being a budget Batterskull.

Otherwise Im not sure what I can suggest... Just about all of the good sideboard stuff is 10-20$.. I cant even afford much of it myself..

HATES SPECULATORS =>.<=

elpokitolama says... #6

@hateindigital nope, that's the right one! It's the most powerful morph creature out there, and if you blink a morphed creature it comes back as its normal version. ;)

@Ryotenchi aye, thanks! I don't know if I'm going to run baneslayer, but crusader might enter the sb soon. Unfortunately, no Torpor Orb like here, I rely too much on etb effects for this :<

Also, tron is so weak against this deck! That's was really sad for the Tron player ahah

Ryotenchi says... #7

ooo Shit! >.< Fail I DID!

Id forgotten for a moment that I run Hatebears over Death and taxes for my torpor orb on a stick.. and Wilt-Leaf Liege anthem on resolve..

Is a Sword of War and Peace out of the budget? Im sure Sword of Light and Shadow is getting spendy by now..

elpokitolama says... #8

Eheh, fortunately I traded my old Sword of Light and Shadow to a very good friend, so I have access to one copy of it. :>

June 28, 2015 4:52 p.m.

Ryotenchi says... #9

Awesome. Thats another diff between our two flavors. Mainboard Sword vs Sideboard sword. :3

I def wish I could afford aSword of Fire and Ice and my Horizon Canopy x2-3.. Sucks when all yeh need is to top deck the perfect bear and yeh would have to shell out 200$ for the chance to get lucky to have one of those in your hand or draw anyways.. >.<

...Still beats coco though..

June 28, 2015 5:13 p.m.

elpokitolama says... #10

When I first saw the price tag of the canopy, I was like "Ahahahahahah fuck of I'm going full basic plains"... But the main problem of the deck now that I've thrown it out is that I lack card draw/tutors when the game last longer than expected.

Even the vials are cheaper. >.>

Also, I'm siding it because my aven have a goddamn great synergy with blink (enter+leave) ;)

Ryotenchi says... #11

Noice. xD 4 life while getting some beats that fly!!!

The canopys where my next upgrade target at 30$... now theyre up to 45$... :( And wizard will never reprint them...

...At least not til Modern masters 2017-19 or w/e... And they will be 70$ lands if things go like they seem to be..

Legacy 2.0 here we come..

If I win the first place and the 1200 euros that are coming with it, I'll send you some of those :p

xD Lol... I didnt really do anything though.

June 28, 2015 10:55 p.m.

elpokitolama says... #14

Well, for now it rocks. But yet I've only faced easy match-ups/mtg noobs, so does anyone here want to test it? x)

6tennis says... #15

Fight me m8. I'll play Hatebears, unless you want me to play a rogue deck. U game?

July 1, 2015 5:07 p.m.

this looks fun and its actually not bad on the wallet as far as modern decks go. I may play test this myself as I've recently felt a thirst to play D&T deck recently with the new Tax cards coming in Origins

July 6, 2015 8:38 a.m.

elpokitolama says... #17

Yup', I've been forced to budgetify it a little bit in order to purchase it... But 4x AEther Vial is worth the cost. ;)

Yeah, Origins cards are pretty interesting. Vryn Wingmare might enter the list one day, just like Archangel of Tithes. And since the deck is pretty aggro, maybe the new Gideon. Maybe. x)

Very nice, +1 from me !

I also have a blink deck Quick Save - Quick Load but it wasn't creature-based enough for me, this one might do the trick, I'll give it a try :)

Good luck for Toulouse and keep us informed of its results !

July 6, 2015 9:21 a.m.

Bonne chance mec!

But anyways, Vryn Wingmare is just a bad Thalia. Archangel of Tithes though... 4 mana, a Bolt-proof flyer, lots of taxing... looks tempting.

July 6, 2015 8:53 p.m.

6tennis says... #20

Vryn Wingmare is a bird tho, so it's semi-viable. Also, Stony Silence snaps your Vials in half. Replace them with Kataki, War's Wage like a non-pleb (a.k.a. me). Other than that, it's pretty much my list, so it's good I like it. +1.

Love the deck, +1 from me.

One question, however; why only one copy of Flagstones of Trokair?

I ask because, if played correctly, this card can function as a pseudo fetch-land (thinning your deck of lands). It does so in this fashion: you have one Flagstones of Trokair in play, it to float , then play your land for turn (another copy of Flagstones of Trokair) which sends the tapped version to the yard, and fetches you a tapped Plains!

It's a neat trick, and I just wanted to be sure you were aware of it. Great deck--love the Akroma, Angel of Fury play!

Judge's Familiar isn't very good here. And isn't Kitchen Finks>Aven Riftwatcher? Is it a budget replacement? Next, 2 more Blade Splicers would be nice, and 1-2 more Aven Mindcensor is great. I can also never decide between Rest in Peace and Grafdigger's Cage. I like to make a split of 2 RiP and 1 Cage.

July 11, 2015 7:52 p.m.

elpokitolama says... #24

Thank you all for your support!

madgremlin mainly because budget issues... x)

Scorprix kuz' budget and Riftwatcher benefits from blink way more than Finks. Each time I blink them, I gain 4 life after all! Also, it flies in a meta full of Insectile Aberration  Flip! Also, I used to run 4x Blade Splicer, but... Well, it's a good card, but definitly not something I d'like to play more than 2 copies, because it's a 3-drop (same goes for Aven Mindcensor). Also, RiP is far better than Cage because it also hits any form of graveyard abuse (flashback, dredge, delve...)

Maybe I'll go for 4x Flagstones and trade my Riftwatchers for some Finks one day! I've got used to those, to say xP

Scorprix says... #25

Except Grafdigger's Cage fucks up CoCo, Chord, and ANYTHING that goes from the library.

And Kitchen Finks can kill early goys and can actually block well, unlike riftwatcher.
