No go right ahead ValakutShifter! From my playtesting on this site (which was against my Tron decks, Caes's competitive Necrotic Ooze deck, and various modern decks on TO), it generally won on turn 4-5. Having input on how it actually performs would be amazing.

No problem man I already have all of this from my BUG infect so I might as well play test and help you out. I've been playing along time in Modern and don't care at all to help see how interesting designs work in actual play! I'm new to the site so I can't trade so I might as well do this xD

I can recommend some cheap better replacements for some of the cards if this deck if you are up for any changes that is..

Yea I'm all up for suggestions. Anything you think would quicken the deck up and make it run better :p

An actual good deck except for Blight Mamba these rarely happen :D +1 love it

What do you suggest I replace am the Blight Mamba with, 40cal? It is mainly in there because it is one of the few infect creatures with some sort of defense.
And pingpongball120, Invigorate is not modern legal (sadly) and I already had it in the maybeboard because I swap them in when I play casual with friends.
December 25, 2013 10:23 p.m.
Well you don't need defense when Llanowar Augur is blocking also sacrifice him for a +3/+3 trample which is amazing for only costing 1 mana also you need Ichorclaw Myr add 4 instead of 3 Necropede
December 25, 2013 10:30 p.m.
Also even though Artful Dodge is unblock able spells can tear your creature up add Apostle's Blessing which makes it so you can either use Forest or Island to tap it instead of just Island plus it gains protection from color of your choice nothing can destroy it unless you chose the wrong color
December 25, 2013 10:34 p.m.
Last thing sorry 21 lands is too much put in down to 18-19 which is a 32-33% of the deck so your bound to draw 1-2 at least

I definitely agree with you 40cal that the Ichorclaw Myr is better than Necropede , but I also like having the Artful Dodge s. With Wild Defiance out, its a 2 blue = +6/+6 unblockable. While Apostle's Blessing also makes it technically unblockable , it could only potentially give the creature +3/+3 and I would have to lose 2 life (which isn't to big of a downside). I was thinking -3 Necropede , -3 Blight Mamba for +3 Llanowar Augur and +3 Apostle's Blessing . The downside is that then I would only have 8 infect creatures in the deck, and I need at least 1 to win. Although, if I did drop the lands down, I would have room to add in Ichorclaw Myr s too. Those are just my thoughts right now, I'm still brainstorming ideas on how to arrange the cards.
December 25, 2013 11:09 p.m.
Well lemme help right there personally if i were you i would have 4x Ichorclaw Myr , 4x Glistener Elf , and 4x Blighted Agent you need as much infect as you can't get so you can draw atleast one in starting hand. After that think which instants suck. Now personally Llanowar Augur is one of my favs and so in Apostle's Blessing sooo 4x each of those then only 2x Vines of Vastwood it costs 2 mana for a +4/+4. This is how i would arrange it personally. Reasoning Llanowar Augur is your only trample card for 1 mana and its a creature that can block annnnd it gives +3/+3 come on that's unheard of.

So I should reduce the lands, remove the Necropede for 4x Ichorclaw Myr , remove the Blight Mamba s and 1 Vines of Vastwood , and add in 3 or 4 Llanowar Augur and 4x Apostle's Blessing .

I'll definitely try it out! I'll let you know what I decide on after all the playtesting. Thanks for all the help 40cal!
December 25, 2013 11:48 p.m.
Hey np thank for showing me a decent deck i might try it out with my infect deck and make it legacy i can't live without Invigorate or Scent of Ivy :)

I actually never realized that Invigorate isn't modern legal...
December 26, 2013 12:22 a.m.
Ok i gotta try this out now that blighted agent makes a huge diffrence i must try.
Remove 1x Vines of Vastwood for the 4 Groundswell simply because if no 2 mana you still get +2/+2 but if you played a land this turn +4/+4 vines of vastwood is 2 mana just overall little worse
December 26, 2013 10:16 a.m.
Just because it can do more i would switch out Giant Growth for Simic Charm and instead of 3 island i would add Hinterland Harbor just because Blighted Agent and Simic Charm
December 26, 2013 6:45 p.m.
MattTheNinja says... #22
I agree with swapping out the islands for Hinterland Harbor , but I don't really see the point of removing Giant Growth for Simic Charm . If I used Simic Charm I can only see actually using the +3/+3 part or the protection. I think this deck would run too quickly for the removal aspect to come into play. But, if I am spending 2 mana on a booting spell / hexproof, wouldn't Vines of Vastwood be a better option? For 2 mana with the charm, I can either boost a creature +3/+3 or protect them for the turn. With 2 mana and Vines of Vastwood , I can boost a creature +4/+4 and protect them for the turn. Just my thoughts on it, if you had another thing in mind just correct me :p
