Hey guys sorry for the delayed reply, I've been pretty busy :p. The FNM went really well actually and swapping the Llanowar Augur s for Birds of Paradise really helped me with my mana problems. I was only to swap two of them, but it was a noticeable improvement so thanks a lot thispersonisagenius for the suggestion. And for your previous questions about the sideboard, I've never actually played against a Melira/Kiki Pod deck. The first deck I've ever played against with a Kiki combo in it was this past Friday so I don't know how much the Torpor Orb s are helping me there :p. I'm definitely going to replace them with Twisted Image when I can get some since it'll help me with a lot of match ups I regularly go against at the shop. And for Grafdigger's Cage , I rarely have to side it in, but there are some Gifts Ungiven +Unburial Rites reanimator decks the pop up periodically at my LGS so that's the main reason for it being in the sideboard.

Unfortunately, I have very, very little experience with Simic, so I can't be super helpful, sorry. :x

Looks like a great deck tho, +1

I suppose I can +1 and comment on your deck again :)

Have you tried Hunt the Hunter ? Good against heavy creature decks supposedly, I'm not sold on it yet though.

Rancor does wonders for an infect deck, since it doesn't matter if your infect creatures die, and you can just use that Rancor on the next attacker. Dig the deck for being fairly budget for a Modern deck. Upvote from me!

Arg, I got nothing. Never used infect before. The most I can do is upvote, recommend Gut Shot against chumps and utility creatures, and compliment this beast: AWESOME! ;D

Great account of matches! + 1!

So you'd recommend Apostle's Blessing over Ranger's Guile or a mix of the two? And Llanowar Augur over Predator's Strike ? No Rancor at all?

@Abubroki

I definately prefer Blessings over Guiles. With Apostle's Blessing you can either use it as a protection spell or to make your creature unblockable (depending on the color of your opponents creatures). And as for the Llanowar Augur s, they're just place holders (along with the Birds of Paradise ) for Noble Hierarch s.

@Abubroki

Glad I could help a fellow infect player :) Good luck in your future matches!

Ooh yay infect! This looks pretty awesome; my only question is why you run 2 Gitaxian Probe s. It seems to me that Gut Shot to get rid of chump blockers would be better. Or maybe they could be Rancor s. I dunno, they just don't seem that useful to me.

That said, this deck is awesome. +1 from me.

Nice deck you have there MattTheNinja. +1 :)

Also thank's for the suggestions on my Mono Green infect deck: Does this look Infected?

Mixing blue to green can add some cool stuff on an infect deck, but I was wondering about how to increase the effectivenes of my mono-black infect deck and it should be green, so I can put a few more buffs and destroy things that black cannot! Take a look on Infect new generation and give ur feedback if possible. Good deck btw, +1!

@DH_Cell: Honestly, I am going to add black to this deck by swapping out Ichorclaw Myr s for Plague Stinger s and adding some SB cards like Abrupt Decay and hand disruption once I get fetches to make the mana base for the deck work optimally. I'll check out your deck later today when I have more free time and give you my input. Thanks for checking out my deck!

Yes black can help a lot! I have an infect budget mono-black too, take a look on Where is your god now?

I like it but wouldn't call it lightning fast haha. I do like the protection that possible counterspells provide though. here's mine =) http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/blood-infection-1/

Love the deck! I am a personal advocate of Groundswell, if you couldn't tell from my own deck! Your mana base, with eight fetches, would support its use as well. Might of Old Krosa is probably better for your deck, though, since its a guaranteed pump. Also, i am having fantastic success with Geist of Saint Traft. Nobody knows what to do when it hits the field!

Hi, i'm just a beginner in Infect and I don't really play Modern so often, but why the singleton Day's Undoing? Wouldn't a singleton Wild Defiance be better in that slot?

As for answering Geist of Saint Traft, I guess a potential underrated tool which deserves consideration is Horribly Awry (also kills Goyf, Delver, Finks, Rhino, Fulminator, Confidant, that Jund transforming guy i never recall...), but then of course, it needs 2 untapped mana...

@Abubroki: The Day's Undoing is for the BGx and 'Blue Jund' style grixis attrition decks. They generally spend the first 4 turns casting hand hate spells or killing my dudes so playing it on turn 3 or 4 is practically erasing everything they've done (and messing up the delve for the grixis decks) and gives me another chance at my dudes.

@crexalbo: I also agree about the Groundswells, being able to fetch during my opponents turn and cast a Groundswell for +4/+4 to cancel a bolt has been really helpful and I almost always have landfall with the 8 fetches. I just updated the list to what I played at the NC States

I dig this, doubt I'd foil it out like the list shown (I really don't have a spare 2k laying around collecting dust =p).
