Bloodrush + Infect + Trample = I hate my friends.
CDC Announcement
Since bloodrush is only Red and Green, it limits my choices for infect creatures, but having the colorless artifact-creatures (with infect), basically alleviates that mana stress.
While I'll take any advice somebody has to offer, what I am specifically looking for are suggestions for lands that can quickly add more than one R or G to my mana pool, so that I can spend more, earlier, and guarantee consistent bloodrushes and trample instants.
I also would like suggestions about what to do with my sideboard. Right now it basically serves as another maybeboard. I'd like cheap options for the deck's weaknesses, and also advice on what you'd sub out for them when sideboarding.
The Laboratory
My actual maybeboard contains cards that I am currently considering, as sideboard or mainboard, or cards that I will swap in once I obtain them.
I am considering replacing both Rootbound Crags and both Rugged Highlands with 4 Wooded Foothills.
Also, keep in mind the man-curve is deceptive in this deck, because although Rubblebelt Maaka and Ghor-Clan Rampager have a CMC of 4, rarely, if ever, will you be spending that much mana on them.
Stage One: Outbreak
Glistener Elf is your blocker, and Ichorclaw Myr is your attacker, with Plague Myr being used to ramp, or act as a back-up attacker/blocker whenever necessary.
REMEMBER: All the bloodrush in this deck needs RED or GREEN mana, so reserve your lands for that, and only use Plague Myr's mana to cast spells.
Inkmoth Nexus is really only here for intimidation, but it's also useful, so don't be afraid to tap a Plague Myr and bloodrush the bejeezus out of an attacking flyer if you want to avoid a troublesome blocker.
Grafted Exoskeleton is included for possible long games, or for stubbornly persistent opponents. You can use your Plague Myrs to make it cheaper, and attach it to a summoned (rather than bloodrushed) Ghor-Clan Rampager, or any other non-infect creature you may be forced to play.
Stage Two: Spread
Your bloodrushers are Slaughterhorn, Rubblebelt Maaka, Ghor-Clan Rampager and Skinbrand Goblin. Each of these costs only a single color to activate, except for the Rampager, which costs one of each. There is plenty of bloodrush available, so don't be afraid to use it. 99% of the time, you will want to use their bloodrush ability, rather than actually cast them as full-priced creatures. In fact, don't even think of these cards as creatures, but as "attacking-only" instants.
REMEMBER: Bloodrush can ONLY be used on ATTACKING creatures, never while blocking. There are other spells in the deck for surviving your opponent's turns.
Stage Three: Debilitate
Unfortunately, of all the bloodrushers being used, only Ghor-Clan Rampager also grants trample. We want to be dealing trample damage as much as possible, for as cheap as possible, thus we also have Rancor, Kessig Wolf Run (which Plague Myr can help you afford), Colossal Might (which is basically like having four more Rampagers), and of course, Triumph of the Hordes, which is kind of like a late-game back-up.
Also included are Putrefax, which also has haste. So what, you have to sac it at the end of your turn? A bloodrushed Putrefax is essentially a win con, with a possible T4 play.
