I have taken a big break from magic. I have actually changed the deck around (Well was in the process of it) I have no time for Magic and have been forced to stop. I will post it later. I took it more control where I can block more.

do you think you would continue with this deck even after dragon's maze arrive? do you think this deck would still take fnm at that point? cause other decks are getting buffs from those new cards

Try 2x Brimstone Volley . The morbid for 5 has won me so many matches it's ridiculous.

[x8bitgangsta] just curious, with your original b/w build, what do you think of adding blood scriveners? i really like em as late game i seem to be no cards in hand lookin for a top deck against alot of opponents.

your thoughts? and if you think theyd be good what would you take out? the only targets i can see to take out would be bloodthrone, diregraf, lingering souls maybe

There were a few great cards given to us in the newest set. A couple of which I think would make great additions to this deck. For one, Pyrewild Shaman . This is an amazing reoccurring card. What I see people do a lot when I swing with Gravecrawler early game, is that they would rather take the 2 points of damage instead of trading their creature since they know Gravecrawler will just keep coming back. This is a great opportunity for an extra 3 points of damage with Pyrewild Shaman 's bloodrush, and if you have the mana, also bring it back to your hand. This card is also great in being a 3/1 and is able to trade with creatures like Thragtusk without costing you much and possibly bringing is back later on.

Another card they gave us which I like for this deck is Blood Scrivener . This card (along with being a zombie and helping you bring back your Gravecrawler ) helps you a lot with the top deck at a low price. Drawing 2 cards instead of one is a great advantage late game.

Make all land excluding caverns base black, I swap out the Sacred Foundry for just basic Swamps because drawing into a foundry on t3 and not playing tht messenger can really hurt

Still thinking if I want Knight MB

The lack of fodder for Falkenrath Aristocrat really nerfs it. I would consider swapping it out for Thundermaw Hellkite or maybe Olivia Voldaren since you can only use the majority of your creatures to sac for invulnerability but get no +1/+1 counters for it unless it's the Cartel Aristocrat that bites the bullet.

This also seems like it may have issues with token creatures, maybe an Electrickery or two in the sideboard would be useful.

If I were you, I would add 4x Tithe Drinker and a couple Blood Baron of Vizkopa . Tith drinker is a better replacement for Thrull Parasite , while Blood Baron of Vizkopa can pack a punch when needed.

Thrull is not there for extort, it is there to play with the messengers counters. I am actually going to up to three I believe.

yes he's not really here for extort.. i have been playing this deck for a really really long time... sac Geralf's Messenger , pay two: remove counter then sac again :D

I have to play the deck some more. I haven't played magic in a long while. Dragon's maze literally brought nothing for me for this deck really. it saddened me.

would Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch be in Falkenrath Aristocrat 's shoes when she goes out?

I have to rework the entire deck when stuff goes out.

only reason i wont try this next week is ill be playing my Kinetik's Stormchasers this next week for break from the seriousness and to have some fun.

Played with this deck yesterday for WNM...

Ended up with 2-1 (5-2)

FIRST MATCH was against BANT AURA

game one: Win - He Mulligan to 5

game two: Lost - Fencing Ace + Rancor + Ethereal Armor . it was so fast i could do anything to block as it has double-strike and tramples trough my low toughness creatures

game three: Lost - Almost won just 2 point of damage short..

SECOND MATCH against BANT TOKEN POPULATE (Geist + populate)

game one: Win - Was pretty easy as he didnt had any creatures

game two: Lost - dont have anything to remove Hexproof (Geist)

game three: Win - Tough Match managed to sac and summon Gravecrawler several times pinging damage using Blood Artist

THIRD MATCH against THE ARISTOCRAT 2.0

game one: easy win as i have one drop (Gravecrawler ) and he doesn't.. also so lucky i dropped Blood Artist early and ping him incredible amount of damagegame two: we both mulligan to 6, this is funny cause i had so much soul read on him!

turn1: He plays a land tapped and passes

turn2: I played a Godless Shrine , shocked myself and played Gravecrawler

turn3: He played a M13 land

turn4: i attacked with Gravecrawler and he blocked with his blood artist, this is when i knew i'm gonna win and he dont have that much creatures on his hand :D

So Im gonna run this at tomorrows FNM, have you thought about Brimstone Volley ? if so what went into decision not to have it?

Have you tried Skirsdag High Priest ? Seems fitting.

went 3-1 at FNM with this deck, should have been 4-0 just got crappy draws followed by being stuck on 2 lands.

how do you side/play against reanimator? have you thought about rakdos return in the side?

bonfire bugs me lol i always seem to draw it in my opening hand or like 2nd turn grrr lol

other than that lovin the deck.

try side boarding Blood Baron of Vizkopa if there is so much reanimator in your meta :)
