Superfriends has started to become a deck more commonly run in my meta. That or Planeswalkers in general. It helps me shut them down while still using O ring on other Threats. Also can shut down other cards in their decks. It has proven very useful. I used to to shut down Hellrider just the other day and a Reckoner.

I want to move in my play set of silver blades...I just don't know how....They currently do not have a home and it saddens me. What would you recommend?

Have you considered Doomed Traveler? Also gives Orzhov Charm's third mode another target for surprise sacs.

Okay so this is looking pretty nasty. Changes I would make would be -2 tragic slip +2 mutilate, -1 souls for +1 diregraf to make it even. Besides that. Sick. I can see this being something to fuck with hah.

I thought of doing a 3/3 split with Mutilate and Tragic Slip, but i use Tragic much more often it seems over the latter. I actually went to 3 Ghouls for another Lingering haha! I haven't really play tested it much tonight to see if it was worth it.

Thank you for the compliment tho! Greatly appreciated!

Wow, I really like this deck! I have a kinda aggro deck using B/W but it involves around big hitters like Alms Beast and the 6/6 Demon (Name escapes me) pairing them to silverblade and giving them flying and lifelink via Gift of Orzhova +1

On topic of Hellrider's and Boros Reckoner's abilities are triggered abilities, with exception of Reckoner's first strike. I could be wrong though so double check up on that, I don't think Pithing Needle works for them.

DaggerV is correct. Both of those abilities are triggered abilities. Pithing Needle does nothing to stop those.

I would -2 Skirsdag High Priest for +2 Thrull Parasite, most of the time Skirsdag High Priest will draw removal from your opponent because they are afraid of his Morbid effect especially in this deck, so if you are trying to draw removal then keep Skirsdag High Priest. If not I would go with Thrull Parasite because like you said you can play games with Geralf's Messenger's counters. And most opponents wont see it coming until the undying Geralf's Messenger is REALLY undying.

I am actually testing that out atm over them. They have both played a solid role in all the play test. Skirsdag can get me a 5/5 as early as turn 3 which is very nice.

dhoard1320 says... #12

ok then, very very cool. I guess the people I play with are so very cautious because when a Skirsdag High Priest comes down on turn 2, its not there by turn 3

May I suggest 2 orzhov gates over two plains? One plains, 2 BW mana. I i think your mana base would be square up and never get color screwed.

x8bitGangsta says... #14

I was really debating on adding in three gates in general. I decided against it at first not wanting to slow it down, but testing out the deck last night against my Flicker deck for a turn 2 thundermaw, it seemed I always got 2 of the three it seems. I will consider it, and test it out at FNM tonight.

yeah Skirsdag can and usually will be targeted, but usually I can get a token or two out. I am still messing with that creature slot.

After fnm, lemme know how tragic slip is doing in this, or in general. I don't see it being good atm, but I could be wrong. Its my favorite kill spell, but...weary on using it

Get the cool Sorin planeswalkers from the duel deck.

I will do, so far in the testing they have been rather effective. It kills nasties, and right now my meta has some nasty things in it. I tested around with Bone Splinters as another cheap removal spell. It actually went alright. I did a 2/2 split with slip and it.

March 15, 2013 12:17 p.m.

x8bitGangsta says... #18

hehe I did, they are awesome.

March 15, 2013 12:17 p.m.

Stein_ says... #19

I like bone splinters more because of the extort ability. Sac a dude, artist goes off, extort for splinters, destroy and artist goes off, recast crawler and extort. Such dirt. Extort is the shit.

March 15, 2013 12:23 p.m.

x8bitGangsta says... #20

Lol indeed, That is one reason I am considering leaving Blind in for more extort chances. I just am not sure, I believe I need more Instant removal.

4 damage and 4 life off a one drop spell. Getting Cray.

Stein_ says... #22

Devour flesh is cool. Sac your own dude, extort, triggers go flying everywhere. Give geralf's undying again. Loads of possibilities. Always think like Lily. Idgaf about your life, or death. Ruthless.

March 15, 2013 12:27 p.m.

x8bitGangsta says... #23

Yeah lol, I have tested a bit with devour flesh, I actually use it in a Standard Nichol Bolas deck I built. I wanted to use him, and I recently took apart my mill and Izzet and had the spare Shocklands and control spells needed for it, and I hate for dual lands to go to waste.

It uses a lot of control and Bolas is the main win opt with gutter as a secondary. I run two Snapcasters in it as well and that is all my creatures in it. It runs pretty well, aggro is still a pain to deal with. I still have Devour Flesh in my maybe board.

I still have a decent bit of decks to post up here. I have been working on a Gruul Aggro deck recently. It uses Splinterfright and I actually run a play set of Vexing Devils for early damage and early cards in GY for Splinter.

Splinter is like in case bomb. It usually has to be dealt with then and there. I also added Bloodrush for quicker Damage and more cards in GY. I also included Fling...It..Works actually lol. Best is turn 4 win using it.
