I agree with the Killing Wave idea. That way you have the potential to save your Blood Artists or Cartel Aristocrats if need be

Just copy the deck card for card when you make a new deck, and then link the original (this one) deck name in your description, along with who created it to inspire you.

Mutilate hits all things, even protection from black.
And you didn't really answer my morbid questions of morbidity that were morbidly morbid. :3

EDIT: @Musicaldeity516 &Anacksunamoon. I play Mutilate as a game changer card. It either stabilizes the field for me, or it wins me by making EVERYTHING die with artist up. Well almost always everything hehe. The Messenger almost always does not have a counter on it thanks to Thrull and usually keeps coming back to the field, so that doesn't stop him. When he is still there, crawler comes back lol.
If I can save him and lose them both. It is probably because things got out of hand for me and I NEEDED to take back board position by clearing it.
Don't get me wrong I like Killing Wave, but mutilate does work well here.
@Kinetik615 Yeah Kinetik just site the source when you make it. Tag the deck and me in it as well. That should do it.
@kmilan I had her in here originally when I made the list, but she was just to slow for the deck.
@dhoard1320 She can cause him to re-enter more than once that turn and could save him from instant removal.
I have played with barter before as well. Whelp, I believe I answered everything! Thank you guys for the feedback and the continued support!

Mutilate is the best wrath on standard, and even better out of standard. Supreme verdict ain't got shit. Killing wave sucks too. When you go against jerks like me who run Sigarda, Gisela, and Aurelia, your gonna need all the mutilates you can get. Lol. Mutilate and Verdict are the only cards that take Sigarda out.

Because Sigarda, Host of Herons is the only card to worry about in standard.

Know what else can take out a Sigarda, Host of Herons?

Sorry mate! I had Skirsdag in here originally. Some games he proved turn 3-4 demon, more games he was kinda...well useless to me. Never really able to do what was needed or when he did, it didn't matter. I found the thrull parasite being of much more use to me. I do have him side boarded for now tho. Another reason is, sometimes he was always removed before you could start popping his morbid.
I really don't have room in the list to add a whole new color. I would need to go through and completely change the list to add just that one card. A good card it might be! I run it in my RDW.
I thought of that card, I really did. I try to attack as much as possible with this deck like most aggro decks when I am able. I decided to go with spells that would better help me clear the board of blockers so I can keep swinging in. I then thought about it for the sideboard, but once again I wanted to be able to see there hands easily and be able to discard the threats I know they have after seeing them game one. I went with the cheaper choices of Duress and Appetite for Brains Seeing how most of the really deadly creatures to this deck are higher end CMC and I can grab the other spells with duress. Not to mention the ability to see their cards for 1 B.
I think I got it all this time! Lol, and thanks for pointing out mutilate to me. I had a brain fart on it being aboard clear RIGHT before I started talking about it clearing the board, Haha!

Mutilate shines brightest in a mono-black deck obviously. So be careful when using it in this deck where only 64% of your lands are swamps, as your -X/-X might not be enough to kill most things every game...
March 19, 2013 2:27 p.m.
Uhmm....she's a card you have to worry about, yes. She is an easy drop win con. Now, she's bit the only thing you have to worry about, but thragtusk went down as being the best. Aggro is so fast these days that thragtusk doesn't even matter. Having Hexproof and a 2nd ability is insane, when 80% of aggro decks run spot removal, thus Sigarda just wins the game.@VosIsBoss. Sigarda is a massive threat. =)
March 19, 2013 2:28 p.m.
mutilate shines in any deck that can pump at least 3-4 swamps a game. Ive been working with mutilate since it came back to standard, you have no idea what your talking about. And responding to your deadly recluse vs Sigarda, recluse won't see play. If it does, a good player will burn it, same with nighthawk. Anything else kid?

I didn't say you didn't have worry about her.
Just saying the decks she does well against are mid-range decks and... that's about it. A good aggro deck will kill you before you reach 5 mana true, but how do you expect your Sigarda, Host of Herons to be good when you say Thragtusk is too slow? They cost pretty much the same... and control decks run all sorts of board wipes like Terminus or Supreme Verdict.
A 5/5 for 5 flier is an impressive body, however, most 5 drops that are played right now all have 5 power, and can easily contend with your bird. I mean angel. Thragtusk and Sigarda, Host of Herons fight. Both trade, one person gained 5 life and now has a 3/3 beast token. Enemy drops a Thundermaw Hellkite, oops, your Sigarda, Host of Herons is tapped, and they can swing in for the win.
She is not the most impressive card in the meta, and not a failsafe.

Someone argues with you and you blow up in their face? How do you expect to learn anything without looking at the strengths and weaknesses of a card?
Please don't call me "kid", i prefer "ma'am". Don't be so rude.

I agree with her, there is no reason to blow up on people because they do not see eye to eye. Vos_ if she were to be played against me, I would have to wrap it up soon or drop something to end her. She is a solid card in mid-range if not def SB Like you said 5 Mana for a 5/5 body with flying that is hexproof.....she is dangerous lol. Thank you for your input!
March 19, 2013 2:46 p.m.
Okay, in a good deck, tusk and Sigarda will be out between turn 4-5. Depending on situation. Thundermaw is another one that can be devastating. Ive been playing with Sigarda since she came out and have yet to lose with her being on the board. That's like really brutal. @fnms people don't expect her, at opens people know she's around but may not see as much play. Now, when you get into grand prixs and pro tours, you will see her more often than not, because she is simply too good to pass up. A turn 4 5/5 Hexproof Flier devastates until it can dealt with, and even then, most times 8/10 the player won't be able to. Against Esper, yeah she gets knocked out, giving it indestructible, well now you have a bigger problem, which comes back to mutilate is a better wrath that killing wave. Killing elwave gives people a chance, mutilate means you win the game, you lose all your dudes but you have a geralf's. Win.
March 19, 2013 2:47 p.m.
@Vos, you were saying Sigarda and tusk fighting...now are you saying pit fight or domri? Because hexproof is can't be the target of spells or abilities. she cannot be targeted. Wraths, Nighthawk, other deathtouch creatures can kill her, but 10/10 a good player will take out the obstacle so she swings through. I don't mean to be in your face lol, I just know what im talking about with her because ive played her since the day she came out. Hope you understand =)

Much better explanation.
Sigarda, Host of Herons is a powerful card that should invade a part of your mind. However... you better be ready with enough swamps, or even Mutilate wont be able to stop her.
You might want to consider a healthy dose of Vampire Nighthawk (even if they would get sniped) or other creatures with enough power to be a threat... to prevent her from attacking you. Because, i believe five swamps in this deck is going to be a challenge before the game will end.

I meant in combat, no tricks. Just head on. Obviously I know she has hexproof. You're not the only one who has ever played her... so take the crown off your head and be open to ideas.
Unless you invented the card of course.
March 19, 2013 2:57 p.m.
Nah 18 swamps out of 22 land is fine. I have a grixis mutilate deck and swamps are never a problem, with the first wrath you usually want to kill off with at least 3 swamps, if a person is playing bigger peeps, moar swamps will come. I'm still skeptical about 22 lands, I use to get screwed so hard sometimes with 22mana. Pushing to 23 is like the next best thing to getting some. =)

14/22 = 64%
This deck is cutting a little close :/ However, by the time they have a Sigarda, Host of Herons, you might have a Obzedat, Ghost Council. And you'll be fine.

Thank you for being civil here! I have Vampire side boarded for match-ups like her and other nastiness. Usually I don't have a problem hitting swamps, but it can and will happen. Thank you for the insight you have taken to look into this. I also left a comment laying around for you Vos
I hope I didn't come off as rude with the Morbid explaining I did for you. I take a crucial thinking when it comes to card choices. I really did maul over all your suggestions, hehe. I tried to explain why I decided on what I did.

How would Restoration Angel combo well with Obzedat, Ghost Council? Just curious, doesn't it already flash itself in and out of the battlefield?
