Exquisite update —Jan. 22, 2022
Added Exquisite Blood, Hagra Mauling Flip, Malakir Rebirth Flip, and Castle Locthwain.
Removed Chaos Wand, Memorial to Folly, Kaya's Ghostform, and Curtains' Call
I liked the Memorial to Folly because it could get Vault Skirge out of the graveyard but I didn't want to reduce my swamp count too much. I could see re-adding it. I like how Kaya's Ghostform protects from exile and I don't need to leave mana up, but the MDFC aspect of Malakir Rebirth Flip seems good, and it can blow out removal. Hagra Mauling Flip seems worse than Curtains' Call except for the MDFC part so it's kind of a wash. Trying it out.
Exquisite Blood is in for the incidental life gain. Not planning on running the combos. Got it for Christmas from my brother and figured it would be best here. Running out of life before finding Vault Skirge and either Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate is one of the main ways to lose with this deck. I don't have much in the way of tutors so throwing in Sanguine Bond seems a waste considering there is only a little lifegain in the deck.
GreenHamma haha oh definitely! Not a ton, and I can usually find Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire in time. I haven't quite thought about adding Elixir of Immortality seriously or anything but it has crossed my mind. It's actually kind of part of the fun--flying so close to the sun.
