Deck base copied from aekrusty's Vampire: The Dark Ages deck starring Edgar Markov.

Originally, I wanted to turn my old deck I built in the hayday of the first Innistrad set into an EDH deck. After being out of practice for the better part of a decade, I decided I'd copy the above deck and try to build it, but I ended up working in some heavy adjustments both for the sake of playstyle and to make it affordable enough to reasonably buy.

My old standard deck was packed with 1drop reds Stromkirk Noble to get vampires on the board early, and then use the effects of other vampires' on-combat-damage to start stacking up our small creatures quickly and make for a massive swarm if I was able to survive into the later higher cost creatures Stromkirk Patrol, Olivia Voldaren. I relied pretty heavily on my red/black control instants to preserve them, as they quickly became high-priority targets.

With this deck now being adapted to EDH, the premise is largely the same but there's a little more variety and some welcome utility from the addition of white into the deck. Between Anointed Procession + Edgar Markov pumping out tokens, Etchings of the Chosen + Shared Animosity to buff all vampires, and Curse of Bloodletting + Curse of Stalked Prey effectively doubling most counter gains / combat damage, this deck seeks to deal massive combat damage while snowballing into something even greater.

I presume my challenges will be making sure that my high-priority targets survive the initial scrabbles, blocking any boardclears or heavy-handed control decks, and letting me mass up a tidal wave big enough to pick off other players one-by-one.
