Thanks for the feedback and plus 1. I was thinking about the Exquisite Blood but your comments make me think ill put them in for sure. If i was to main Sin Collector what would you suggest taking out? Also, renounce was kind of a placeholder. my sideboard i'm still working on getting just right..Thank you so much for the feedback :)

I'm thinking about taking out the Arrest and Ethereal Armor and replacing with High Priest of Penance and Ring of Xathrid any thoughts on if this is a good idea? I just figure with all the black, black/white the rings would help. It also can make the Priests more powerful. I also added 2x Vault of the Archangel , it might be overkill on the lifelink but the deathtouch ability seemed worth it.
let me know what yall think

I love the Ring of Xathrid and High Priest of Penance ! Also, since you no longer have Ethereal Armor mandating a high number of enchantments, you could cut one or two Blind Obedience and an Oblivion Ring for a fourth Tithe Drinker and two copies of Sin Collector .

After looking at a few more lifelink/orzhov decks i see many ppl are running Crypt Ghast im wondering if i should put those in to accelerate my mana swamp wise. since Godless Shrine is considered a swamp i have nine swamps that i could get more mana from. if i do this though what should i drop ?
June 1, 2013 10:30 a.m.
I used to run 1/3 land in my deck...but in my experiences i got mana screwed...alot...one of my friends suggested that instead of running 1/3 go with 40% mana. For a 60 card deck that would be 24 lands. Try dropping a few cards and add some land...i would definitely consider Crypt Ghast to ramp up your mana for those higher costing creatures (since Godless Shrine counts as a "swamp" this would also boost this too)
maybe drop 1 of Blood Baron of Vizkopa
, 1 of Tithe Drinker
, 1 of Vampire Nighthawk
, 1 of Vizkopa Guildmage
and add four swamp or two swamp and two plains.
just my two cents worth...which isnt much XD...hope it helps!

June 1, 2013 2:23 p.m.
try dropping 1 Exquisite Blood , 1 Oblivion Ring , and 1 Ring of Xathrid to add 3 Crypt Ghast . Play test it to see how it plays out and to see how you like it...

If you are using Crypt Ghast you are probably going to be topdecking a lot since all but 6 of your spells are permanents. Since life isn't going to be a problem with your deck, I'd run Sign in Blood . That way you won't be topdecking so much. I run it in mine and I don't even have as much life gain as your deck.
I see the point in Ring of Xathrid but I think there are a lot of more important 2drops. Also, I tried doing the Vizkopa Guildmage and Exquisite Blood in my deck and it's just too unreliable. Plus, there are better 2drops than the Guildmage and better 3drops than her abilities. The Exquisite Blood fits the deck but if it came down to making a turn 5 play, I'd rather have Blood Baron or Obz, or Rhox and a 1drop.
Speaking of which, you have no 1drops. Since, you don't, don't be afraid to run Orzhov Guildgate .
If you do decide to run some 1drops, I'd go for something defensive like: Faith's Shield , Smite , Tragic Slip (great card), or even Cathedral Sanctifier (which can help negate your Sign in Blood and Godless Shrine lifeloss.
Orzhov Charm is always good but I think I'd just run 2 of them.
Remember too, even though Blind Obedience is best against aggro-haste decks, it still can cause your opponent not to be able to block since his creature he just laid out is tapped. Extort doesn't hurt either. I run 2 main deck but that's just preference.
Any way, I know you just wanted sideboard feedback. So for sideboard I'd run some more kill cards like Dead Weight , Devour Flesh (great even if you need to sac your own cards in response), or Victim of Night . Definitely put Oblivion Ring in your sideboard for facing 'walker decks. Curse of Exhaustion is a great sideboad card for burn decks, and Sin Collector are great against control decks.
That's all I got for now.

Thx for your feedback man. :) I will def. Take it into consideration . You meantion other powerful or better 2 drops. Like what?
Very curious. Wondering what you personally would leave in or take out. Thx my friend :)

Just more spell cards like Devour Flesh , Ultimate Price , Victim of Night Sign in Blood , and even Blind Obedience .
I just feel Ring of Xathrid will slow your deck down too much or let your opponent get too much tempo.
You could sideboard them but usually when I have my High Priest of Penance out, they get Tragic Slip or Dead Weight dropped on them and regeneration doesn't stop that.
Same with the Vizkopa Guildmage . It has good effects but if I had to decide between using its effects or casting a Vampire Nighthawk , I'd go with the vampire. Then turn 4 comes around you'll cast Crypt Ghast or Rhox Faithmender then turn 5 and you are casting Obzedat, Ghost Council or Blood Baron of Vizkopa . By then your Guildmage might not even be alive any more and would have simply just been a 2/2 for BW.
I'd toss them and the rings and add more kill spells.

thanks for the tips man. i'm going to work on it and throw more spell/removal into the deck. prolly going to ditch the rings, high priest, and guildmage, possibly the Exquisite Blood prolly put one less charm in too. now im debating between Sign in Blood or Underworld Connections not sure what will be more worth it. short term id say sign but later game using a land to buy my extra draw would be nice too.

Cool. Underworld Connections is great and totally how you say, better late game. So, you could just toss one or two in there for sure.

Ive been giving the deck serious thought in my mind and have decided, after looking at a few others to alter it significantly and run some of what im running now in conjunction with Blood Artist and a few other cards that focus on making quicker tokens. Might drop the Crypt Ghast altogether and def running more kill spells in main and sideboard. Im also adding Sign in Blood its a work in progress but after seeing some of the other decks here I like the combos and think it will work better. Thanks for all the sdvice so far :)

Sure thing. Here is a deck that won first place at the SCG invitationals: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=53550
Definitely a much different direction that your current deck but it makes use of Blood Artists. I'm sure you could get some ideas from it.

thx i actually was going to go in a similar direction to that deck. the big question im debating now is do i keep the Rhox Faithmender in the deck. going to stick with my big 5 drops and def getting the Blood Artist , Cartel Aristocrat and adding a few Lingering Souls . will also beef up my creature destruction spells too. also picked up the Geralf's Messenger and will give that a go. thx for the suggestions

i'm seeing now i have no 1 drop. im debating on removing the rhox just to put in 3 Doomed Traveler to feed my Blood Artist and because its a good 1 drop. still i do like keeping the rhox because it doubles lifegain and is a 5 defense for 4 mana. let me know your thinks you think ....:)

Geralf's Messenger is an amazing card but most of the time people have more ways to bring it back or bounce it like Unburial Rites or Restoration Angel . Also, Thrull Parasite is really nice because you can remove the Undying counter from Geralf and allow him to die again and again. It's also a 1drop. However, I do agree that Doomed Traveler is probably the way to go. =)
Still, I love Rhox Faithmender it really is a good blocker and has a great effect. Geralf's Messenger is great too though. So, I think what you have is good.

i was considering Thrull Parasite instead of the Doomed Traveler for just that reason but other than bringing Geralf's Messenger back and removing some counters its a tough sell. i dunno if i'd want to remove any other spells or creatures to add them too. it killed me to remove 1 Blood Baron of Vizkopa too but 3 and the obzedat seemed a bit overkill. now i'm wondering if its worth keeping the messenger in too. thanks for all the feedback too man, its helping :)

+2 Orzhov Charm
Test Play Blood Scrivener In the Geralf slot.

How about Exquisite Blood for the combo with Vizkopa Guildmage? Also, I don't see Renounce the Guilds being any good for you since you have so many important multicolored guys, and you may want to consider maindecking some number of Sin Collectors. I love the theme of the deck though! Very creative and does what may be the best job I've seen of highlighting Blood Baron of Vizkopa .
