I agree Dritz but as MrSixxxxx said thats where Merciless Eviction comes in handy but I do see what you mean I just wish I could cast wear as well. Plus I dont think anyone in my meta plays bant enchantments theres 1 guy that plays bant hexproof however.

So what ya'll think about swapping Pacifism for Banisher Priest after all hes really just a stall to get a doom blade

I prefer Banisher Priest myself. It exiles the target, meaning that its abilities can't be activated/have no effect, whereas Pacifism only stops it from attacking and blocking. Banisher Priest also has a 2/2 body to go with it, so it doesn't slow you down as much. On the other hand, Pacifism is much harder to remove, costs 1 mana less, requires less coloured mana and, in many cases, is just as effective (for example against a Boros Reckoner ). It's up to you really. Which do you think is better suited to your meta?

Okay so tonight was a draft. However IO did get to play test some friends not the deck that I changed this to be more like and beat. First game was against a deck that wins allot in my LGS. Its kinda gogalari zombies (I say kinda as its mostly black) I won 36 to 6 at that point he threw his hand down said you win lol. He said my deck was faggy lol because everytime he cast a creature I answered it then a well timed Lifebane Zombie revealed he had 2 Ghoulcaller's Chant s I then hit his 5 zombies in his yard with Crypt Incursion gained 15 life and thats when he gave up. next up bantchantments although he doesn't have many chants at least I only scene Detention Sphere which he cast first game on my lifebane zombie and next turn cast archangel. I One Thousand Lashes on his angel and then casted blood baron he had 14 life I had 25 life i extorted for 2 with crypt ghast (it was turn 6 I had 2 shrines and 4 swamps he was at 12 I was 27, next turn he detention sphered my One Thousand Lashes I swung with blood baron his second ability procced doom bladed his angel next turn swung for game. The second game he was mana screwed turn 5 he had 3 2 white and 1 green couldn't do anything I pulled obezdat after already dealing 10 with with fiend slayer & tithe drinker obezdat dealt 2 he drew no land and gave up i was at 30 he was at 8(not really fair he was mana screwed) both of the aftermentioned decks have one 1st at our local fnm many times so Im pretty excited for friday!

I would drop a High Priest of Penance for another Tithe Drinker . I would much rather have the latter at the beginning of a game, especially because of how circumstantial the priest is.

August 11, 2013 2:16 a.m.

Cyber Locc says... #7

Why do you think the priest is circumstantial. I agree that Tithe Drinker is a very good card but its more aggro while the deck is control and the priest is defiantly controlling. The only reason I disagree is the priest has won me many games as the opponent is scared to attack as suddenly there Voice of Resurgence is on the line for attacking. Thing is in the current meta there's lots of early game cards that must be answered. But I will defiantly keep that idea in mind Ill see how it goes on Friday and get back to that choice afterwords.

I may take out a Crypt Ghast for another Tithe Drinker I love the ghast but hes not that wonderful in black white and is very prone to be removed fast which can be good. although my true first choice 2 drop is always Blind Obedience it just does so much for 2 mana.

August 11, 2013 2:47 a.m.

Jay says... #9

I say it because against, say, Esper, he's just chilling waiting for you to get milled. He's useless against control, but Tithe Drinker is strong against anything.

August 11, 2013 2:48 a.m.

Cyber Locc says... #10

I wouldn't say useless against control some control has creatures that attack I block and hurts them worse death to the planes-walker. I mean he is the only universal removal that I know of currently. Tithe Drinker is good but is very quick to die I never have him more than 2 turns with a def of 1 hes susceptible to every removal short of Doom Blade . But again yes hes a good card but hes a very aggro card and this is a control deck. Theres 1 person in my LGS that plays bant that's the closet to esper I have to deal with and his deck was no match for me. You also have to remember against an esper deck priests, AoTs and pallys come out. Keening Apparition Obzedat, Ghost Council Sin Collector go in. But I do feel like Crypt Ghast hasn't been its full potential here so I dropped 1 for another Tithe Drinker

Im considering replacing Crypt Ghast with Desecration Demon . What do you guys think. I think it will be a little more aggro would be better as I dont really need the extra mana and while the extort is nice the demon will at worse have to be sacced to at best hit for 6

August 12, 2013 12:57 a.m.

Cyber Locc says... #13

Okay so Keening Apparition vs Solemn Offering what yall think?

August 13, 2013 1:44 p.m.

Cyber Locc says... #14

Scratch that running both Dark Prophecy wasn't doing much. I really have a few cards in hand at all times so I think I'm good I wouldn't be objected to card draw but whats a good one.

August 13, 2013 1:51 p.m.

What about Vampire Nighthawk ? I know 90% of you deck is post-rotation but still. Nighthawk is da best.

August 14, 2013 2:50 p.m.

Cyber Locc says... #16

You just hit the nail on the hammer why post rotation. Also for him to come in Lifebane Zombie would have to come out and lifebane is better in this deck for the control aspect and evasion. And its not 90% its 100% post rotation

August 14, 2013 2:52 p.m.

Thats right, forgot that Duress got reprinted.

Okay so I have been play testing and it works out well but im not too found of path of bravery. Its good synergy and a good card in here however I feel I want more draw. Orignally I had Dark Prophecy and it really wasnt doing it for me. It was good for the fact it helped after a wipe but it didnt see much play it semmed there was always something better its triple black cc doesnt help either and the fact it is not draw on demand sucks. Im goimg to fiddle with but I think Underworld Connections would be better suited here. Its on demand basically cost 1 mana and a life which isnt a concern.Im going to run dark prophecy on friday as I dont have path of bravery or underworld connections atm. I will see what I think more then but in the mean time what do you guys think.

August 15, 2013 12:55 a.m.

Mccates says... #19

I think you are going to want Underworld Connections more so than Dark Prophecy . I am just envisioning turn 3 and not having 3 B. Underworld Connections has more synergy with our life gain as well.

August 15, 2013 2:44 a.m.

Cyber Locc says... #20

I agree that's what I have been leaning towards. That is part of the biggest problem with Dark Prophecy by the time I have enough mana usually turn 4 or 5 there's more important stuff to cast. I don't really need the draw that much with all the discard and removal I should have card advantage. I also usually always have cards in my hand but still the card draw can help pull that bomb when needed.

Oh and btw I have done some more play testing but didn't right it down(its alot of work righting turn by turn) I played goodys return to selensya again he won the first game I won the second so I won the match but it was really fun games Ill do 2 more and right them don this weekend. I also played a burn deck and won 2-0 and this morning I played an orzhov named oreo-zhov And won I only did one playtest as in reality the game was over turn 3 or 4 but I kept going and went to turn 16 he sure could stall but not win.

Beat Izzet Trollface? 2-0 his deck has a great idea great execution and in a deck without lifegain would most likely win. However I simply gained life as fast as he took it. First game won with desecration demon second with angel of thune

Okay so earlier I beat a rakdos deck thinking that my BO would stop act of treason it wont I was wrong so I played it again. This game was much different he actually got sac engines as well and sacced and angel and baron along with others to gain 4 life. It went 19 turns in the end I beat him with a timely Fiendslayer Paladin and Sanguine Bond I slowly ticked his life away. It was very fun I will do it again this may be one to right down turn for turn. ohh its dragon eggs over easy btw.
